Rosemary Tincture 🌿
As apart of my 40 days of Inner Alchemical Transformation, I decided it's about darn time to make my very first herbal tincture. It will sit for the entire 40 days as well, going through it's own alchemical transformation alongside my own.
Rosmarinus officinalis. I have been drawn to this plant for quite some time now, cooking with it often and drinking it as an infusion. After doing some more work with it, sitting with it, and learning more about it from my Monthly Materia Medica course with @evolutionary_herbalism, I decided this plant had something more to teach me.
I’m really looking forward to working with this plant healer on a deeper level ❤ And I'm really grateful for it's assistance in pushing me to finally take my practice of herbal medicine to the next level 🙏
Pictured here in my cupboard, with my Gemini, Virgo, and Leo Mandalas, helping it to align my mind with the light from my heart.
Rosmarinus officinalis. Romero/rosemary. Fam. Lamiaceae 💮 "According to myth the virgin Mery is said to have spread her blue cloak over a white-blossomed rosemary bush when she was resting, and the flowers turned blue. The shrub then became known as the rose of Mary". Rosemary was considered sacred to ancient Egyptians, Romans and Greeks. For me its sacred to put it in the paella 🥘
A sprig of rosemary in oxidized sterling silver. This evergreen herb symbolized remembrance for the Victorians (thanks @14goodmourning for reminding me of that! 😉) and is used today for its antibacterial/fungicidal, memory enhancing, and delicious properties. Because of the complexity of this design, molds can’t be made of it. So each piece will be one of a kind, cast directly from an original wax sculpture that is destroyed in the process. I’ll probably start listing these for sale next week once I make more of them!🌿🌿🌿
This aromatherapy necklace is magical!✨Today I'm spending my Saturday at a seminar learning about chronic fatigue. Because my inner Ravenclaw needs constant nurturing! Even on the weekends it seems😂
This necklace is amazing because you put a few drops of essential oil on the felt inside and it infuses the smell of the oil up your nose all day long!👃Today I've put Rosemary oil on it and while I smell a bit like a roast potato, rosemary is amazing for your memory so I'm hoping it'll help me retain more info at today's lectures!
Shakespeare told us Rosemary is for remembrance, so this knowledge is nothing new. But now there are plenty of scientific studies you can check out as well! Yay Rosemary!! 🌿💕
Huge thanks to @apmanga for this gorgeous present ❤️
