If natural bodybuilding has taught me anything, it’s to be patient and think long term! Starting a NEW career in Real Estate has been a dream come true. It’s been a slow start, but it’s time to execute my vision full force. I don’t want anybody around me that isn’t helping me execute or grow into a better version of myself. #SelfMade#Goals
Bare with me for this post as it's a little different than others :). It's that humbling time of year for our team and our industry as a whole. The time of year where we reflect on 2017 and where awards are given out.
Now I know all your social media feeds are PLASTERED with Realtors announcing the awards that they have received and none of the general public has any clue what the awards mean, who they are from, what they are for, how they are calculated etc:. The truth is there are so many different awards offered by so many places and companies using so many different ways to calculate that even for us it can be confusing at times haha.
The way I look at these awards is how they drive US as a team. These awards give us goals to shoot for. These awards push us in our own way to make US better. You see, receiving awards is humbling and is a great honour (I must admit seeing myself and our team in the Globe and Mail and in REP Magazine this year was pretty neat). But without our amazing clients, family, friends, coaches and colleagues we are nothing. I'll repeat that, we are nothing! We use these awards to make sure that we improve ourselves. We don't want to brag about receiving them. That’s not what they are about to us. What they are about is letting you all know that you're the reason we got them. You're why we wake up in the morning and why even though we are at the top of our game to some, we know that we want to continue to improve our services and continue to push the envelope to make sure our clients have the best real estate experience possible both during and after the transaction is completed. Our repeat and referral business is the biggest award and honour we can receive and those are the awards I wish we could hang up on our walls. When I first started 5 years ago I had ambitions to make the Chairman’s Club with Royal LePage, which is very difficult working in the prairies where house prices are so low compared to the rest of the Canada. As I stated nobody knows what that means but basically its that our team was in the Top 1% of Royal LePage Canada (Over 18,000 agents). Doing this (post continued in comments)
Saturday Showing of a 18.5 acre view property in Mission. This is half way up the driveway and you can see the devastation of the trees from the ice storm that we had a couple of weeks back. #scottnapierrealestate#winterstorm
