NEW FOSTER BABIES! I've had to take a break from fostering for a few months because of studying and never ending clinical placements for my CFHN course but I'm nearly done so we told RSPCA we're available again for fostering. Good timing - because it's kitten season and the RSPCA needs lots of foster carers at this time of year. Today we picked up a lovely little family, Mum (we haven't named her yet) and her 4 beautiful babies who are only a few days old! (Don't worry the kittens are sleeping in the photo. Neonatal kittens sleep 90% of the time and eat for the rest of the time, pretty much like human babies!) The babies are all boys! 2 black and white kitties, 1 champagne ginger and 1 grey and white. They were found in a cage dumped at Tempe train station 😢 We brought them home tonight and settled them into our foster palace (the spare bathroom 🙄), Mum is very scared and timid and obviously stressed from the experiences over the last few days being moved all over the place. When she's settled in and feeling more comfortable, we'll give her lots of TLC and cuddles and teach her that people are kind and trustworthy. Mum cat is about 1 year old and very skinny, so we're giving her plenty of kitten food (higher calorie and extra nutrients) to support her 😭 DESEX YOUR CAT TO AVOID THIS UNNECESSARY SUFFERING. Did you know in 2 years a pair of undesexed cats can produce 20,000 KITTENS?!! All of this could be prevented if people are responsible pet owners and desex their animals @rspcansw #rspcansw#foster#fosterkittens#purr#paws#purrfect#kitten#gingercat#blackcat#babies
PETEY'S INCREDIBLE RECOVERY! 🐾
Petey came to the shelter after he was found in bushland with a broken leg. Even though he was in a lot of pain he maintained his gorgeous grin and quickly won over the hearts of everyone at the shelter!
He has since had his cast removed and is now looking for an active family who can involve him in daily activities and go on loads of adventures!
Petey is dog friendly and would love to have a friend to play with at home! So if you have a furry sibling for him, bring them in for a meet and greet!
Although he is a very active doggo, he is also a big softie and will often put his legs in your lap then roll over for belly scratches!
