The weekend is on it's way - for many of us, that may mean big meals and a few too many drinks. Why not head out on a great run today, so you can enjoy a little indulgence tomorrow feeling guilt free?!
Think back to the person you were before running. Now ask yourself are you physically and mentally upgraded? Are you fitter? Stronger in mind? Less stressed? Thought so...
Exactly as the quote says. Your attitude will determine your results. If you believe in yourself, push yourself and look after yourself.... You'll probably amaze yourself.

For us, running gives us a sense of purpose. A sense of pride that we've achieved something. This positivity crosses over into other areas of life too. A healthy body often leads to a healthy mind. A healthy mind can achieve ANYTHING!

The most perfect two mile trail run with all the hills, beautiful views and burning lungs. 🏞⛰ Extra special run because I got to share it with my fiancée! Adventuring with you is my most favorite. ♥️ Plus the company helps make those hills suck less. 🏃🏻♀️🤘🏽
Hey, hey, hey, I ran today! Easy peasy 4 with my hubby, @ultrarunningjustin! My new chiropractor gave me some awesome stretches and breathing things to work on, so I followed my run up with that! Hoping to get 6 in tomorrow! Longest run for me since I hurt my hip. 😁 also buy yourself a @oiselle vim jacket. Literally great in any sort of weather!

🌎“Started the day off with a good 16 mile run and ended with a fast 3k race hitting 23 miles for the day. It wasn't an all out effort but I was definitely pushing. I started out slow(4:55 pace) with about 35 people ahead of me. Coming out of the path at 1/4 miles still several ahead of me (8-10). I slowed more but still continued passing runners. This high school kid (with a sweet shirt) caught me and ran with me for the rest of the first mile. As we ran through the soccer field people kept yelling go scooby and someone yelled at the kid "your running with scooby". It was fun! First mile 5:26 and in 4th place. I soon caught Erik and began closing the gap on Brandon who picked it up with half a mile to go staying a good 5 seconds ahead of me. I finished in 3rd overall not racing all out. I wouldn't have beaten Mack if I did as he ran 9:39 simply killing it. I finished the 2nd half in 5:28 pace - one of the most consistent races I've run in a long time. I'll be ready for some easy miles tomorrow. One week left in this race series. I'll be sad when it's over but ready for longer races. 😊🏃😎😊🏃😎😊” | Follow him for more.
🎄❄️🎄12 Days of Fitmas, Day 3🎄❄️🎄 So, let's talk comfort food. It's everywhere this time of year, am I right?? I absolutely love pizza, and pasta, and cookies, and brownies (oh my!), but I also have health and fitness goals, so sometimes I improvise on my favorite yummy treats so I can still enjoy food without feeling deprived.
In general, I go for the 80/20 rule. 80% of the time I'm super careful, but I still let myself indulge when it's worth it. However, I do not make excuses so every situation seems like "it's worth it". For example: "I've had a long day."
"My kids don't like healthy food."
"I'm too tired to cook."
"I'm soooo hungry. Healthy food will not fill me up."
"I don't have time." 👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻If you are telling yourself any of these things, these are excuses. If you really want to change, you MAKE the time to plan your meals and cook healthy. Period. No one is going to do it for you, you have to decide to do it for yourself.
This recipe is a cauliflower pizza crust. I love it because it's so versatile and you can top it with anything! I added chicken, red peppers, pine nuts, sauce, and mozzarella cheese.

This Saturday it will be my pleasure to host the East Pointe Delight RUN!
Expect a few hills and Fall leaves in trees and on the ground. Customary short and long distance 5K and 10K courses are to be expected; so bundle up and get those Happy Feet ready for a Delightful Run.
Debbie's Delights is the place for a Hot Breakfast afterwards and the start for a great Saturday. We will have a healthy breakfast prepared for you on your return, along with great conversations, laughter and fun!
