Sure. You might be predisposed to weight gain in certain areas. You may have a thyroid issue that runs in your family. Your body might not be able process the same foods as others, or do it as quickly. The important thing is to know these limiting factors and then try to set yourself up to overcome them. Don’t be a victim. Control what you can. Work your ass off. You can do anything.

A 5k slower than I would’ve liked this morning. But considering the 39° weather, the dryness of my throat, and the annoyance of my nose, I’ll take it. Finished with supersets on chest and triceps. And one 15-rep circuit of some leg workouts (side lunges, squats, single leg deadlift, fire hydrant, lunge twist). Happy hump day!
I promised myself on Sunday that I was going to take a break from running for a little to let my body heal...... and here I am.. out for a run. I woke up this morning itching to go but resisted and all night I’ve been irritable and grumpy. My legs were pulling me outside and I couldn’t resist anymore. Just a quick mile tonight and my body and soul is so happy!!! Here’s to no breaks I guess.....🤔😉🏃🏼♀️ #run#running#runutah#marathon#fitness#outside
Fall runs with this pup make my day so much better! 🍁
One of my most frequent questions I get asked is how I keep the motivation to keep running. Here are some tips for .
1️⃣Connect back to why you started-what brought you to the sport?
2️⃣Mix it up- don't do the same workout every day, add variety!
3️⃣Try trail runs! They are amazing at switching up the scenery while getting a great workout!⛰
4️⃣Look at why your motivation might be slipping-too many miles? Again, go back to your purpose.
5️⃣Find the fun again-however that might be, but remember why you fell in love with the sport in the first place.
After my marathon, it was rough to lace up my running shoes. I was beaten down and discouraged. I got the best advice-run because you love it. Find that love again. I have been finding that love every single day and I am so grateful I get the chance to be active! ❤️ #running#run#marathontraining#runner#swimbikerun#triathlon#goldenretriever#runutah#fitness#motivation#keeppushing#keepdreaming#fittips#fitfam#findyourmagic
⭐promo code at bottom⭐ It's finally here❗ My favorite half of the year. I know you think I say that with every race, but with this one I mean it❗ THE HAUNTED HALF BABY❗ Half Marathons are my favorite. ☺
It's the perfect distance...hard but not too hard. I can still walk when I'm done and every race deserves a treat after (like @waffluv!!! TRADITION!!).💗
The Haunted Half has been my favorite for years. I've run it every year but one since I started running. I've been a Bee, a Pirate, Madonna, Day of the Living Dead, Medieval, and a Skeleton. I'm sure I'm missing at least two but those are the ones that come to mind. This year I plan on being a Biker Chick (@inknburn of course!!) - just you wait! The costumes you see during the race are unreal. The skin you see during the race will surprise you! 😍
⭐Anyway, like every year if you want to join me (which I hope you DO) you can get 20% off your registration by entering 👉RUNWITHJENNY at checkout! Race fees can add up, so hopefully that saves you enough to cover your treat after! Please LMK if you sign up!! I'd absolutely love to meet up before gun goes off!⭐

Are you ready? Let's train together! If you're in Utah I want to train with you this winter....even when it starts to snow! Lets learn to love running, hit that new PR, or run a race you never thought you'd run. Learn more about personal training through the link in my bio.
🎃🎃🎃 Third year running The Haunted Half! Half #19 for me. Very cold & windy at the start line! Only a week after 26.2, I still didn't want to miss it so I just ran for fun and really enjoyed the course & scenery. Came in at 1:45, only a few minutes behind last year, which I'm very happy with. Great medal, as usual! Always great to have my family cheering at the finish. #thehauntedhalf#hauntedhalf
Sure been missing this girl lately! Seems like life's keeping us both pretty busy these last couple months. I'm ready for things to slow down a bit so we can start training together again! 💕 -M
My rolled ankle is pretty swollen and unstable, so I skipped the Corner Canyon trail half to run on the nice, stable bike path 👌 I took it moderate and stopped for a few pictures of the leaves. 13.8 miles! I couldn’t find my earbuds so I borrow my three year old’s headphones. I could only reach one ear at a time, but it kept that ear pretty warm 😜
Second half marathon #finished this morning and it was a blast! The #HauntedHalf has such fun energy (a "headless horseman" kicks off the race on horseback!) and it was so much fun to run with these girls! 😘😘😘It was a cold start at the top of the canyon with snow and ice on the ground, but it warmed up as we went. Such a gorgeous course with lots of fall colors on the mountain. Already looking forward to the next one in the spring. #hauntedhalfSLC 🎃👻😻🍂🍁
First 5k in the books! Won second overall female!!! (Slide through the pics to see my time and pace) 😬 this race was SO MUCH FUN!! I was planning on just taking it slow because I’m running the Moab Half tomorrow but the last mile I realized I was in second and got competitive and pushed myself hard till the end 😂 thank you @ltm_athletics @living_through_movement for letting me do this race and not getting mad I didn’t do the half!😉 #run#runutah#hauntedhalf#haunted5k#running
