Here’s hoping everyone has a good old fashion Thanksgiving...filled with family, friends, and of course food! 🦃
I found this scene in an abandoned farmhouse, and I’ve been saving it for the right occasion. It reminded me of all the great Thanksgiving cookin’ my folks would do when I was a kid. And that reminds me of everything I have to be thankful for today. I tried some editing that I don’t normally do...to make the photo look as old as the stove. I’m guessing it’s from the early 1950’s, like me!
Enjoy your day everyone!

“To witness miracles unfold in your experience, count your blessings and be thankful. Perceived small blessings accumulate to be the most powerful.” ― T.F. Hodge
And I'm thankful for the Park Ranger, who when he found me setting up to take this shot (something I have always dreaded... having ANYONE see me do what I do!) , lectured me about trespassing and then gave me a phone number to call for a permit to do what I do "legally." And then asked if I was the one that had decorated for Halloween and said "That was awesome!" ... and said that he would allow me to stay and finish my shot and asked if I minded if he went in to see what I had done... and walked back out.... smiling. (whew... what a relief!! Dodged the trespassing fine again!) Also, I am thankful to all the good things that my photography hobby has given me... the exploration of fantastic places, the friendship of awesome people ... and even a job. Picking up a camera is just about the best thing I have ever done for myself. Thanks to all of you that look at my pictures and comment, to those of you that reach out to share locations with me, message me, make me smile, and especially to those of you that are actually crazy enough to come out and shoot with me. Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving!
