It's been a rough couple days. Spent most of Friday in and out of the bathroom, not sure if it was food poisoning or a stomach bug. So unfortunately Friday's heavy lift did not happen. 
I made it in today with very little fuel in my system, not sure if that was wise or not. But I have not desire to eat.... but I got it done.

Getting ahead of the game and getting my weight loss stack early!! Am I crazy for starting my 2018 weight loss the same week of thanksgiving?? Maybe.. but I'm not letting one day ruin a whole five weeks that I could spend towards smashing my goals before 2018 even gets here! Bulking is fun but I want abs again! Who wants to be crazy with me??! Supplement descriptions below 🔽🔽🔽🔽 Fat Burner: 213 system. Love the high energy the 213 gives me, it mobilizes and oxidizes my fat, and even gives me better sleep to help reduce my cortisol levels which in turn gets rid of my belly fat!

Post-Workout: Phormula-1 and ignition combo. When I lift I deplete my muscle glycogen, and ignition replenishes this storage. Seeing all of these #npcmiaminationals posts is really giving me the itch to be in prep again! It's so damn close I can almost taste it. 🤤 I'm only 10-11 lbs above my stage weight from both of my shows this past summer. Hoping my next prep with @embethany is going to be the best prep ever. I've been killing my hamstrings, glutes & shoulders with every chance that I get and I can tell I've been making a lot of steady progress. PR-ing my lifts, upping my carbs, staying with it on my cardio. •

One thing that a lot of people don't get during prep is that's not only physically challenging.. its mentally challenging. One thing that I always make sure that doesn't get me down during prep and when I'm not in prep is the way I look. Do I want to walk around at 110lbs with abs? Well.. fuck ya lol. But I also like the fluffy life of off-season. Yes I don't have as much definition & I get self conscious about my arms & upper body in tanks and dresses but that's how God made me. And for that I embrace every stage my body goes through. I hope you all had a fun pack filled weekend!

Sticking with good sources of protein throughout my day to constantly stimulate muscle protein synthesis. No matter if your trying to bulk up or lean out protein is going to be your best friend. ▫️▫️▫️▫️
Carbs I try to stick with about a cup or fist size portion that way I have fuel in the tank to get me through my day. ▫️▫️▫️▫️
Veggies on the other hand I tend to slack on that's why I make sure I take a good gel tab multivitamin and greens supplement that way I'm getting all my micronutrients throughout my day in order for my body to function 100%

I workout 5 days on 1 day off for 2 hours & if I have time 2 & 1/2. Obviously I'm using a ton of energy & at the same time tearing down a ton of muscle tissue. After a workout your body needs the nutrients you lost immediately otherwise recovery will flat out suck which = no gains & possible loss. This is why a post workout glucose & whey protein isolate are ideal. Both are very fast digesting which is ideal for recovery. 
The glucose is a simple sugar which generates a 6x's greater insulin spike than table sugar. This replenishes your glycogen levels which is what your body runs on for survival & in doing so that insulin spike leads to much better nutrient delivery. The glucose will shuttle the protein straight to the muscles to begin recovery & awesome muscle building! Since I've been doing this my workouts have been unreal & muscle soreness is at a minimum. But everyday is a battle, and we decide who we are. @marksmellybell really lit a fire under my ass during morning cardio. He said it takes 10 years to call yourself and expert. That got me thinking about my training and the time I’ve really taken it serious

I only have two or maybe three years of been my 100% serious about the gym. Yea I’ve fallen off a time or two, but the drive and the passion never left. I know there are people like me and have issues that they don’t tell everyone about...your not alone. Your stronger than you think, and weakness is just a mentality. It’s not a death sentence

How do you set your body up in the morning for maximum potential through the day?

Getting a complete whole-food  meal in knocks your body out of the fast that you just went through during the night.

Day 27’s theme was smaller.  The workout pants as well as the dress are both one size smaller than what I have been wearing.  This hard work...it’s definitely paying off.  I’m trying really hard to not buy all of the clothes right now.

Slow and Steady
Today was all about loosening up and getting the blood flowing. Goal of the day was to focus on definition rather than strength. It kills me to say that because I love to load up on the back workouts for overall strength, but I had to remind myself "slow and steady"
