There’s no excuse to not be the hardest motherfucking worker in the room, whatever it may be, your job, the gym, your relationship. Your name’s attached to it, and that has to mean more than anything. #s2faction#chestday
The left picture is from May & the right one is from tonight after a successful back day. Any amount of weight that you lose is an accomplishment & you should feel damn proud of yourself. Being able to compare pictures like this makes me feel great! I'm even doing certain exercises that I could hardly get through two months ago as a warm up this month.
Consistency is key. One of the hardest things is not beating yourself up over certain things. If you have an off day or two, get over it and keep powering through. I personally struggle with this every now and then, but I always push myself to power through!
I'm pumped to see what else I can accomplish and how much I can kill this weight loss journey! 💪🏼❤️👊🏼 #duespaid#legionofboom#s2faction#s2factionista#weightlossjourney#healthychanges#backday#girlswholift#dominateyourlife#facetofacetransformation
Back/shoulder pain? Try this 👆🏻👆🏻
I re-strained my back last week, nooo idea how 😭 so no deadlifts or squats for at least a week. Thoracic extensions, as seen in the video, have been a life saver. Not only do these build stability, they also open up the mid and upper back a ton.@1stphorm
If you are anything like me and get muscle cramps from time to time, you know how much it sucks! One minute you’re sitting there watching a Cops marathon and then boom, your calf is cramping up! It sucks! So I started taking these three things to help with it and they have been a God send! Taurine and magnesium along with your other electrolytes all work in a balance along with water within your body and if you are deficit in any of them then it can lead to muscle cramps. Taking in a little extra can help big time with it! Another overlooked thing is getting a good quality multivitamin, especially if you eat like a 5 year old like me and hate veggies! If you are deficit in any or most of your micronutrients then all kind of stuff can go wrong in your body. Granted taking in veggies is the best way to get you nutrients but tbh, I hate them so much and my multivitamin is wayyyyy easier! Try these guys out if you’re struggling with cramps! What else has everyone else used for cramps, let me know down below! 💪👊🏻 #nofilter#iphonecamera
I was skeptical trying this stevia based calorie free pop, but let me tell you this @zevia soda is 100% legit! I’ve tried Grape, Lemon Lime, and now this Ginger Root Beer which taste exactly like root beer...not sure where the ginger comes in at. Great zero calorie option if you are on your plan and missing pop.
In the midst of a mental breakdown after the past week, I was reminded that I am far to blessed to allow negativity to destroy me 💯
Thank you to my family and friends for always helping me keep my mind clear.
Went exploring today with my girl ☀️ .
We visited a new spot in Lenexa at the city center!
This place is awesome! New, clean, and accommodating, year-round public market with some neat vendors, and not to mention doggo friendly 🐶
If you haven't been there yet, check it out! Tucked in just West of 435 and Renner!
Also, I'm looking to capitalize on the nice fall weather we have coming up. Where are some good parks in the KC area that I should try out? Let me know!
Some of the fun from Saturday!
If you think you're a good shot while shooting at a still piece of paper, it's a whole new game when there's a timer behind your ear and other factors.
It was definitely a learning experience, and I sure as hell can't wait to do more of this style of shooting down the road! .
Oh...And I totally 110% hit the steel 4/4 shots. The camera audio just sucked the first time 😉
"What are those colorful drinks you always see people sipping at the gym?"
A question I get quite a bit working within the fitness and supplement industry. And honestly the answer could be many different things.
I'm not going to get into all the different options, but I will talk about what I personally prefer to drink during my training.
My go-to intra-workout beverage typically is a combination of amino acids, carbohydrates, and electrolytes. This blend will help fuel the body for intense training.
A full spectrum of amino acids during training will help prevent an excess of muscle breakdown and keep your body from dipping into a catabolic state (a state at which your body starts burning its own muscle as a fuel source - you don't want that!).
For the typical athlete, your body will use carbohydrates as fuel during exercise. So providing your body with that fuel during intense activity can help you power through training sessions much more effectively. Intra-workout carbohydrates will also help keep blood glucose levels stable during exercise, which in turn can help keep energy levels high and performance level optimal.
During intense training, electrolyte levels will tend to become imbalanced. This can reduce the efficiency at which your muscles fibers fire, reducing overall muscle power and performance. This is typically what causes spasms or muscle cramps as well. By keeping your muscles hydrated and flooded with electrolytes during training, you can improve your performance greatly.
If you train hard, I highly recommend giving an intra-workout product a try! They can definitely help boost your training to the next level! Any question, PLEASE let me know! Happy Monday Peeps.

A post workout shake is a quick, simple and very beneficial part of my lifestyle!
My life is always full of new adventures whether it be in the gym or exploring outdoors! I truly enjoy physical activity! All types but not limited to hiking, which is my favorite, rock climbing, snowboarding, yoga flow, golfing, running, walking, you get the picture 😉What you do post adventure is important!
Here's what I do: I am going to take a 100 percent hydrolyzed whey Phormula-1 protein shake from @1stphorm ! This is the purest form of protein and it is the fastest digesting!
_ I am going to pair that with Ignition. Ignition is pure dexon hydrolysis glucose. It's the purest form of a carb that will be replenishing all of your glycogen stores that you depleted during your workout! So that your body will burn fat instead of muscle. _ It's very important to pair the Phormula-1 with Ignition because the Ignition (your carb source) acts as a shuttle and it takes the Phormula-1 protein directly to your muscle so you can start that recovery process immediately!
After my adventures my body doesn’t have time to spare waiting for a whole food to digest. Plus, I don’t like being sore, so the faster I can start the recovery process the better! _ Phormula-1 and Ignition post workout is key🔑 And let me just mention that all of the Phormula-1 flavors are amazing! Ignition is flavorless so you'll just be tasting the flavor of the Phormula-1! Recently, I decided to go back to my roots, the first flavor I ever bought, Cinnamon Toast Crunch 🤤 also known as CTC! This flavor is heaven in your mouth. When the shake is gone, you're going to want more, it's THAT GOOD! _ If y'all have any questions send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org I would love to help you any way that I can!
Comment below on which flavor is your favorite or that you currently are taking!! I wanna know 😋
2.5 weeks with no caffeine and I honestly might not go back to a caffeinated pre workout. These two products right here have been helping me perform in the gym like no other! and they are quickly becoming my favorite pre workout combo!
AlphaCre HD combines Creatine Monohydrate and Beta Alanine to increase strength and muscular endurance.
AlphaSurge DRV uses a combination of nitric oxide producing products allowing for greater blood flow and nutrient delivery creating greater endurance and a greater pump.
Weather your taking a break from stimulants, or training late night, this combo is definatley something to look in to!
Had an amazing time at The Battlegrounds this past weekend with @danielmeyer85 💪🏽
Each year I amaze myself with how far I've come. Only a couple years ago, I attempted one of these obstacle courses for the first time. It was brutal, challenging and tested me on so many levels. Now, a couple years later, I finish the race hardly sore the next day! 😈 I can tell hard work, consistency, and years of training have helped me tremendously! My goal next year is to be super competitive, and finish under an hour. I think I can do it 👍🏼
*PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT*
STOP USING GDA AS A HALL PASS TO EAT A METRIC SHIT TON OF CARBS!!! --
Carbs, insulin, GDA. All are good things. I am type 1 diabetic and have taken insulin injections since I was 11. I do not consider myself an expert, but I have an above average understanding of carbs, and insulin response in our bodies.--
Every time we eat carbs, ALL CARBS, our bodies digest them and turn them into glucose. When glucose is released into our blood stream, our bodies make insulin. Insulin is a STORAGE hormone. It transports glucose from our blood stream, and stores it in our muscles for our body to use as fuel. BUT once our muscle is full, our bodies have to do something with that glucose so it is stored as fat. So regardless of whether or not you take a GDA, if you are taking in too much, it's going to be stored as fat.--
So why use a GDA?
1. To help keep insulin sensitivity low on high carb diets.
2. Use them on a normal meal plan for general health and to help stabilize blood sugar.
3. Post workout when your carb intake should be higher, and your glycogen should be depleted. It helps MAXIMIZE the storage of those carbs.-- There are other times and places GDA's are great, but in summary, GDA's are not a carb blocker and you can and will store fat if you eat too much. They are not a magic anti carb capsule, so still be reasonable with your food choices. I could droll on and on and on about this subject, but I'll stop here. Hit me up if you have any questions. 👊🏻🦄 *this post inspired by @team_gorman
Today, I did some cardio, core and shoulder work. This is the 2nd time I used the ab roller, and it's tough for me! I used it last week, and my upper abs were sore for 3 days. It's no joke. I'm hoping I can get lower to the ground over time. I need to tighten this core up!
What are you working on today?
📢News flash! I carry a lot of supps in my bag, not surprising considering supps are my lifeee. Anyways, none of them are more important than my post workout shake. And here's why.👉🏻 Recovering quick and efficiently literally correlates to better results from the time and energy you spend in the gym. The more time you can spend in a fat burning/muscle building zone, the better (ok thanks captain obvious) just saying... I see a lot of people trying to re-invent the wheel here.
Stick to these basics for your post workout shake.
#1 . Glucose Powder (pure, dexanhydrous is superior) helps replenish depleted glycogen stores aka refuels muscle energy
#2 . Whey Protein Isolate (100% hydrolyzed is superior) helps rebuild broken down muscles rapidly
#3 . Micronized Creatine Monohydrate (optional) helps increase strength
#4 . Water. Yes water (the colder the better) Skip the milk and stick to mixing your shake with good high quality H2O so that digestion with be as fast as possible.
Boom-Shaka-Laka you're on the fast lane to recovery and results ✅✅✅✅ Now let's get these gainzzzz! 👙💪🏼💪🏼 #s2faction#dominateyourlife#supplements#sauced#powerbody#fitlete
What is the deal with all this talk of the hormone called cortisol...?
I’ll tell you the deal, it’s that we are surrounded by it consistently on an everyday basis and it is a mother F’er of a hormone. But on the contrary, it’s needed for survival...
Cortisol is that fight or flight hormone. The one that increases the uptake of glucose in the brain and the increase of sugars (glucose) in your bloodstream. When our bodies are exposed to a stressful situation, cortisol and adrenaline kick in together in order for quick response time to fight or fleet.
Now exposer to constant stress is going to do some damaging shit to your body, and it’s actually quite scary. The long-term activation of those stress responses literally disrupts everything that happens within the body from the break down of food, to suppressing muscle recovery, and even worse... belly fat storage!! Fucking gross man, why does thinking about stress have to be so stressful?
But I can’t sit here and say that I myself am not under a lot of stress, shoot, we all are! Proper diet, increase in water intake, staying active and most importantly solid quality of R.E.M sleep is drastically going to make a difference on how your body reacts to stress..
I personally use the C-21 from the Royal XXI system by 1st Phorm to optimize my quality of R.E.M sleep so I am recovering fully from my daily battles of stress and fatigue. I highly recommend this bottle to anyone looking to optimize sleep and truly to get the most out of their day.

I'll start with by saying that one of the most talked about and misunderstood supplements out there are none other than your BCAA supplements that "everyone" is taking. But do you really need them? -
The answer is simply... yes and no. But why? Well I'll tell you.
There are honestly only very few reasons where these amino acids are beneficial.
1. If you're in a protein deficit.
2. If you're doing any sort of fasted training.
3. If you're training for more than 3+ hours they may be beneficial.
4. If you know you're not going to get in a complete protein source for multiple hours.
There may be a few more reasons but these are the top in my opinion.
But Reid you're drinking BCAAs in the picture?! Yes. Currently I am in a caloric deficit to make sure I'm not burning muscle for energy, and training for multiple hours plus cardio. Otherwise I would not drink them besides the fact they taste good😛
Branch Chain Amino Acids are designed to PREVENT muscle breakdown. Not BUILD muscle. Yes they do promote muscle protein synthesis which is basically the first step in building muscle. But you are not given the proper amount of essential amino acids that BUILD muscle.
All of the amino acids you need to build muscle are in your complete protein sources like chicken, turkey, steak, fish, whey protein etc.
So to achieve the state of building muscle is being anabolic which is created by consuming a complete protein source. If you take in at least 20-30 grams of a particular protein source before you workout, you do not need a BCAA supplement!
So long story short, unless you are doing any one of the three things I mentioned up top👆🏼 you probably don't need to purchase this supplement. Save your 💵 if you have any questions on this or think it's right for you, let me know! I'm here to help.

Previous PR was 405x6 and here I got 405x8 but still not satisfied because I think I had one or two more in the tank but instead I wanted to shoot for eight so I as soon as I hit it I quit...
That's the problem with setting small goals though, you'll always end up short of your potential. Aim high and you'll shoot high! Also you're not deadlifting right if you're not bleeding afterwards..
I used to focus on trying to put up the biggest numbers in the gym on every one of my lifts. I used to think that by doing the heaviest weight I could possibly do that I would get bigger and stronger, however that isn't necessarily the case.
While the weight you do for an exercise should be challenging, it shouldn't compromise your proper form of the movement. By focusing more of my form and constant muscle contraction I am able to get the most out of every rep and tear down the most amount of muscle. By cheating your form, you're only cheating your results and increasing your own risk of injury #s2faction#dominateyourlife#instafit#fitfam#armday

Hello week 3. So yesterday I had a little fall and even though I'm sore with swelling, bumps, cuts and bruises I still got up earlyish.
Build Shoulders and 30 weighted Russian Twists .. Still to go is 190 Regular Russian Twists, almost done with that challenge.
