For the past 2 years, I’ve been writing a ton and opening up about my experiences with anxiety and depression.
I started to receive such genuine and amazing feedback in response to my vulnerable posts.
Dozens of strangers reached out and began confessing that they spent hours reading my posts, and that coming across it helped them find the strength to open up about their own experiences with mental health.
I started to realize what kind of impact this truth-telling kind of work was having, and I wanted to start sharing in a bigger way, so I thought a blog would do the trick!
Except, I knew absolutely nothing about blogging!
I had no idea where to start, but I got started somehow and taught myself web development and design, and a couple months later, Rooted & Rising was up and running!
I took all my Instagram posts, put them on the site, and started writing a bunch of new pieces.
But in the meanwhile, as I was publishing all of these journal entries, I was working on creating resources to help support and guide others like myself that struggle with anxiety and depression.
I couldn’t find anything out there written by someone who had actually gone through what I was feeling on a daily basis, so I started creating what I wished already existed.
Just real, genuine, no-bullshit resources to help deal with mental health issues through the practice of yoga and mindfulness tools.
Fast forward to now, and more than 1.3k people have downloaded one of the first free guides I released, a yin yoga routine for anxiety and digestion.
I’m excited to share that I have FINALLY finished the first in-depth guide of the Yoga for Mental Health Series: Intention Setting 101.
It has all the stuff I’ve been using and studying over the last 6 years to regulate anxiety and de-stress on the daily, all condensed in one place.
And it’s LIVE on mah website! Along with a couple of other free guides if you’re interested 😉
This one covers all sorts of things, like what intention setting is really about, how we can use it to create more mental stability, and guided prompts to get you started.
These practices SAVED me at certain times in my life and I hope they 👇
The mind is going 10x faster than the heart...more, more and more...
The sound of the breath is my mantra, constantly reminding me to slow down, to quite the mind, to be still so I come back home to the ❤ and experience the true meaning of life.

MUDANDO O RITIMO....

This is part of a two part series I've been writing (Letters to Adonai and Letters from Adonai). This one is from "Letters to Adonai." 'Adonai' is an archaic term for the Creator. It has deep meaning for me, and so I've felt compelled to write about it.

Letters from Adonai
by Carolyn Glackin
Since the beginning of time I have known you
Throughout all of eternity I have loved you
Where you have gone, so too, have I
Never once have I left you alone
Never once have I forsaken you
How could you think that when it isn't even possible?
We are of one heart, one mind, one body, and one spirit
It is my essence pulsing through your veins
I AM the life force within you
Together, we are one
I did not forsake you
You have simply forgotten that I'm there with you, just as I've always been
Where love is, I AM
And I wait for you always to return to me in your heart.

A bespoke gift. R A D I A T E Soaking Salts + Chakra Oil + a Clear Quartz point.
I love this. Putting together a package of treasures for a client to send to someone special. It's magical. Working on a few gift bundles in the coming weeks. Taking longer than expected but so worth it to get it right!
And it's only when we truly remember all that we are, including our divine lineage and our full worth, it's only then that we shall want for nothing; because in that moment, we finally understand that nothing is lacking, nor has it been.

'I don't want to adult today'. Was part of the unmotivating internal dialog I woke up with. Yep... a great perspective to start the day! When I finally got Sage down for a nap, Charli looked at me with puppy dog eyes 'Mummy do you want to color in with me?'. I cringed inside, just wanting to drink coffee and catch up on a blog but I surrendered. I grabbed a massive @pukkaherbs tea, a comfy pillow, put on some @sacredearthmusic and @twenty.8.essential oil 'instant calm' and sat, on the lounge for nearly 2hrs coloring. Charli, you are one of my biggest teachers and thank you for today's lesson! Total mindshift x
