The cyclists 🚴🏻 went for a 15 mile bike ride then came and stretched it out at #balanceandbubbles after! A nice juicy hip stretch is key after a long bike ride! Join us next Sunday for another balance and bubbles yoga class 🥂🤸♂️and start your Sunday off on the right foot 😉!
Day 3 of this sickness has me feeling all kinds of frustration 😭 while I went ahead and raced my 5k yesterday (probably against my better judgement) I’ve now moved from body aches + cold chills to head congestion + runny nose + watery eyes 🤧 so I’m pulling out all the tricks to hopefully kick this thing by tomorrow 🙏🏼 my Himalayan pink salt lamp is not only something I turn to when I’m sick, but pretty much year round to ward off upper respiratory symptoms 👊🏻 I’ve also been making sure to stay hydrated + eat as many greens as my stomach allows + hit that decongestant medicine up 💊💦 hope y’all are having a good Sunday + if you have any other cold remedies I’d love to hear em 💜 @toneitup @laurengleisberg
DAY 7: Move in the way that love makes you move 🌸
Find flow over force and stop trying to discipline yourself toward something that is not aligned with your soul. And on that thought, I make a declaration with myself not to do any form of exercise that I don't enjoy... why should I ? (There's that nasty little word again "SHOULD") When I saw this challenge all I could think of was unleashing my legs on the road for a sunset run, or stepping onto my mat... both of my FAVOURITE forms of movement, one to escape, one to ground . Considering how tired I was, I chose the latter and opted for gentleness. "The breath is the gateway of movement into stillness. It is a tool that can shift the bodymind into many different states, and when focused on and explored, can bring much understanding and clarity. The constant shifting of opening and closing within the breath symbolizing much of life, the expansion and contraction- the acceptance and surrender. I find a deeper connection and truer sense of freedom the more I maintain a disciplined focus on my breath. The feeling of calm and steady is only accessible through a deep acceptance of whatever it is that is hard for us to accept and also a true commitment to enjoying life, JUST AS IT IS , without the need for anything to change. The breath is what allows us to make this transition from the small egoic self into something much bigger, much purer." Yoga is so transformative, so expansive and gifts me strength, flexibility of both mind and body and creates so much space in the body for love to flow in. 💛
"Into this smoke, I release all energies that no longer serve me, all negativity that surrounds me, and all fears that limit me. So it is."
Day 22 of @yoga_girl's #yogaeverydamnday#yogagirlchallenge : The first day of #autumn and I found it an appropriate time to finally smudge myself and my home with sage, with a little palo santo burning to top it off. This new ritual felt calming, comforting, and cleansing. Everything in my house, including myself, felt more mellow afterwards and I think I was actually able to release some baggage from within. I never knew that acknowledging fire, air, earth, and water in a simple home ritual could feel so healing.
I hope you are blessed with a heart like a wildflower.
