Good morning and happy #slaburday !
On route home and about 2/3 of the way back. Excited to get this stock stickered and turned into bow blanks💪
The @stihlcanada ms880 crushed the slab work while the @echotools timberwolf made light work of the bowl blanks and cookies.
Have a great weekend everyone 👊
Negotiating the minefield.
I almost didn't bother with this piece of antique huon pine. So many holes and fractures. Within it was solid though. Gold. And this shows a not yet finished scoop.
Pulled from the fire.
FAQ- Can I apply more coats to get darker shades?
A: Yes! Many of our stains can be layered to achieve your perfect shade. This includes #OakedStain , #PinedStain , and Rusted stain. These Alder doors have 3 quick coats of #RustedStain , swipe (L-R) to see the change. Wait time is 30 min. before coating.
They also added our #ClearMaintenanceOil at the end to darken the color and enhance the brown tones. That’s a trick you can use over any of our stains.
This playroom built in is really starting to come together. I am combining shaker, bead board, and rustic design aesthetics to it in a juxtaposition that will fit perfectly in the client space. More pics to come!

Another Victorian floorboard table top, this one is approx 8ft by 3ft and stands on sawhorses from the 1950s. I have built 8 of these so far for @wearehirelove and another 8 of this size to do before I start on the benches.
There’s an exclusive tutorial on the website for you today! Learn how to make this pallet wood display box, one of my favourite projects from my new book Made with Salvaged Wood. You have this build in half an hour and it’s super versatile I use mine on the dining table for condiments, cutlery and napkins. But I also fill it with glass jars full of flowers, have one on my coffee table to keep remotes and magazines organised. Check the link in my bio for the tutorial video and more photos, what would you use your box for? #madewithsalvagedwood
