Reusing - and just using less in general - is so so important! Think about what you use, and where it ends up. Even things that are 'recyclable' really are not sustainable in the long run. Small lifestyle changes (ideally towards zero waste!) are the best. Try to be more aware of the choices you make every day. The earth and all the beautiful creatures living on it (including us!) will benefit so much from less waste. As a lover of the outdoors, I can't imagine tarnishing beautiful scenery with litter - imagine all the waste you create ending up in a national park instead of a landfill. Does that change things?
@natgeoencounter is not fishy at all, it's FIN-tastic 🐠🐬🐋
Ben and I are loyal @natgeo subscribers, so we were so happy to experience this immersive educational attraction at the heart of Times Square last night! 💦
It's perfect for kids and those who would want to take a plunge and dive into the ocean of fun and information about watery part of our Earth 🌎🌊

Barton Seaver, passionate about seafood, passionate about sustainability...his mouth-wateringly 😋descriptive scallop experience👌🏾is enough to get anyone's seafood tastebuds twitching. What will you be cooking up or ordering tonight?

I still remember the first time I truly understood the fleeting beauty and pleasure of the scallop.
It was on a summer’s day with my wife on Block Island, Rhode Island. There, my ladyfish and I ate order after order of scallops, breaded and fried, served with nothing more than their own juices bursting forth from the crusty coating.
What’s one of your most memorable seafood experiences? #NationalSeafoodMonth
Great idea @kat.liljestrand !
If every person stopped using plastic straws by using reusable straws (shown here: metal straw I bought on amazon for a few dollars), we would prevent 500 million straws a day from being disposed of. A large number of those straws end up in the ocean and kill marine life, which think the plastic is food. We can each do our part. I haven't used a plastic straw since the Our Ocean conference in Malta and I don't plan to again!
Things can be scary but awesome at the same time! For many student explorers, their trip aboard the O’Neill catamaran is also their first time on a boat. Each day, they overcome their fears and have fun. Letters like these make us feel honored to be able to open eyes to a whole other world and provide a memorable experience to so many young explorers. On our way to 100k!
