I’m learning that just because everyone doesn’t see things, or know everything about your life, doesn’t mean things aren’t happening, or things aren’t good. That the more private your life is, the happier you are. The more you commit to growth and surrender your life to the Lord, the greater the enemy comes after you. Who I am is not who I was a year ago or even a month ago and I am so thankful for all that is going on in me and having the ability to have it shine through me to others. Not everyone will like you, support you, or understand your vision; but this journey through life is no one else’s, but your own. You are not here to live for others nor to be accepted by everyone. There will be people who come into your life and have such an impact that they will never be forgotten, and with that you must accept that not everyone is meant to stay in your life. There are lessons to be learned through everyone you come in contact with and some of those lessons are hard; very hard!!!!.... some of which throw a mirror in your face and force you to see things you don’t like about yourself. This is where you embrace change and work towards being a better person, a better friend, parent, child, employee, significant other, etc. We will lose ones that we love and cherish because of mistakes we make, but through those mistakes you have to the choice to grow and improve. With this, you have to learn to leave those friendships and relationships in the past, along with your old self. Accept they may have opinions about you that have nothing to do with the person you are today. Look ahead and continue on your journey. Be thankful for the lows that make you appreciate the highs even more and remember all that you have been Blessed with this far and be thankful for all that is yet to come. #Thoughts#Growth#Acceptance#PrivateLifeHappyLife#NoShow#Seasons#Flourish#Evolve#Thankful ✒ 🙏
We go through seasons of life, humans I mean. We evolve like the seasons, changing, growing, shedding the past, preparing for the future. Sometime’s it hard to know what season you’re in, sometimes not. For the past few years God has been teaching my heart about what true patience looks like. Job, church, working in ministry, friends, family, financial stability, etc.
A few weeks ago I was driving to LA and started asking myself if my life and ministry produced good fruit, the fruit of the Spirit. The first virtue mentioned in Galations 5:22 is Love. So then my mind wondered to what Love really is, from a Biblical standpoint and of course I was led to 1 Corinthians 13. Love is patient, love is kind, love does not demand it’s own way. And then it hit me. My whole life I’ve thought about this in the context of loving others, but never have I thought about this in relation to how I love God.
If I truly love God, the first fruit of that love would be patience. I would trust. I would wait. I would have patience with the unknown path He is laying out in front of me. And then I felt a sweet conviction that only the Spirit can breath into your heart.
It’s so easy to ask God what is next, to pray for the things we want and then get impatient, and perhaps unkind towards a good and loving God. We can start to demand our own way, even if it isn’t obvious, we can get selfish.
So the season I’m in, and perhaps some of you out there are too, is a season that requires a biblical love of patience. Let’s lean into the seasons God brings us to with an expectant heart, selfless patience and allow God to build an unshakable endurance of biblical love in our lives.
