The first wedding dance can be danced again in future functions and social gatherings. Never let your dancing be a one time thing. Take dance lessons to have a new skill not just for the wedding. #happywifehappylife#wedding#happybride
Barn weddings in the dreary Pacific Northwest give a new meaning to life!
I absolutely love photographing weddings. I know some people out there are like 'hell no. I would never be a wedding photographer.' Yeah, it's not easy- it's super go go go, draining and by the end of the night my legs are just wobbling. But wedding days are not just hustle hustle, get every single shot you can! Not only do I get to photograph all these special moments and parts of their day, but I get to be apart of it all too. And let me tell you, wedding days are an overdose of love and happiness that is just exuding from everyone around. I'm not only shooting but I'm also hanging out with the DJ, the caterers, the wedding planner, moms and dads, the bridal party, the guests and my favorite, the kids. Having conversations, making people laugh, laughing, taking photos and just having a great time. It's one big happy party that I get to be apart of and have fun and also document. It's basically a win win situation for me. #weddingphotographer

Listening to a Wu-tang/Beatles mashup album while I throw everything out the window and edit photos how I wanna edit photos. I was so hung up on what I thought I "should" be doing and how to edit photos in a way that people will like. Well, my life is different. I am different. And I am ready to take risks for the sake of my own sovereignty 🌝
A brunch in honor of a 93rd birthday - what's not to love?! Makes my heart so happy to think of the birthday boy being spoiled by his thoughtful family.
It was an honor to partner with the kind and talented @callistaandco for a few special stationery elements for this event. Many thanks to @scottomalley for the beautiful photo!
Sharing this #WeddingWednesday moment from @pinkblossomevents - "When the groom's aunt provides the wedding cake for the wedding it's one sweet ending! For 'just a hobby' this was one impressive and delicious cake covered in handmade sugar flowers!"
I am the best at making lists. Like for real, one of my favorite hobbies. But with that comes a lot of time spent making lists and not so much time actually DOING/crossing things off. Because, to be honest, I over-do it; I set my expectations real high and then feel deflated when it's literally impossible to accomplish it all in one day. So today, my list consists of 3 items: respond to emails, complete a custom menu design proof, and (FINALLY) blog W&K's bright, rad, glittery wedding. And guess what? It's 4:23pm and all that's left of my list is putting the finishing touches on the menu proof. Taking baby steps is my new favorite hobby.

Thankful to be nominated again this year for @seattlebridemag's Best Caterer! Cheers to so many of our creative venue and vendor partners who are also nominated for Seattle Bride's Best of Bride awards!
Becca is one of the most joyful people and her smile draws you to her immediately. Her adventurous spirit drew her to the PNW a few years ago and she has thoroughly enjoyed exploring. Later this year she will be heading onto her next adventure of finding a place to call home closer to her family, who are everything to her. I get it, I really do! (but we’ll miss you SO much when the time comes!) Thanks, Becca for letting me capture you in this place we love! Link to this oh-so-fun and refreshing session in my profile!
Commonly asked Q&A for today’s #wisdomwednesday :
Q: How many invitations should I order?
A: Order one invitation per single guest, per couple, or per family. So think about your guest list in terms of individuals, couples, and families and there is your number. Then add 10 to 15. These extras will be important as you may get some last minute guests. It's always better to have a few extra in the end than to have too few. It is very expensive to order additional invitations or reprints at a later date so ensure your invitation count accommodates for any last minute invites. Happy Wedding Planning!
