It’s Sunday night and I’m working on my workspace. We have been clearing out the former playroom/storage room slowly but surely to convert it into a better space for Colorful Cute. A garage sale yesterday helped move out a bunch of stuff and I’m trying to get ultra organized before new inventory starts pouring in the next few weeks. It’s exhausting work but exciting too. What are you up to tonight?
Damn I miss Tybee Island... it's one of those places that honestly I think if I lived there I wouldn't have a complaint in the world. The Native Americans first settled this beach and Tybee is actually a Native American word meaning "salt". I spent most of my Summers here as a child with my parents who were friends with a local Beach band that lived there. And 5 years ago I married the love of my life here and two weeks ago I got to sit on the beach here my two children... I can't begin to explain to you how deeply this place is ingrained in my soul... #Euchee
Dark to New Moon New Beginnings Ritual
A ritual I performed tonight during the transition from the dark to the new moon 🌚 🌙
YOU WILL NEED: -White Candle
- Epsom Salt and/or Pink Himalayan Salt
- Herbs and Incense of your choice (good choices would be Birch, Cypress, Elder, Elm, Eucalyptus, Jasmine, Lavender, Lime, Pear, Pine, Poplar, Sage, Sandalwood, Rose, Walnut)
-Element Water (only a cup is needed. Snow Water, Rain Water, Storm Water, Moon Water etc)
-Crystals (optional) choice of Amethyst, Clear Quartz, Moon Stone
PERFORM THE RITUAL: - Draw a warm bath and add in your Salts, Oils, and Herbs. You will also add a cup of your element water. -If you chose to use crystals place them around the edge of your bath. -Light your white candle. I chose to carve a sigil into the surface of my candle before lighting. I used the Celtic symbol for New beginnings. The fire charges the sigil as it melts towards the edges. -Bathe in your bath and meditate. Take deep breaths and breathe in the scents of your herbs and plants. Focus on your intent and watch as the sigil melts away (If you used one). Play whatever music seems right. -When you are done with your bath, let the water out while you are still in the bath and visualize that what no longer serves you going down the drain with the water. -Step out a brand new person, ready to take on your month and new challenges and new beginnings. -I advise that after this bath you perform some self care. Rub in your favorite lotion, cuddle up on the couch with some tea and a book or some Netflix.
Caroline and Emma, the other half of our deliver crew. Whether it was the monotony of standing a night watch alone, the excitement of landing gamefish or the physical demands of wrestling sails in a squall, they not only did it all, they did it well. #offshoresailing#seawitch#caribbean#bermuda#antigua#sailing
Ok so aside from it being a super sad day in #rockandroll bc #rip#malcolmyoung it's also a double whammy as far as #disney birthdays go! Today is the 89th birthday of Mickey Mouse in his first role as Steamboat Willie (although he technically made his debut in 'Plane Crazy' back in May of the same year, 1928, but only loser #disnerds like me know such things) and also the 28th anniversary of The Little Mermaid's release! Since Ursula is my fave #disneyvillain (and practically my twin), this one's in my top 5 for sure. HAPPY BIRTHDAYS, #disneyfamily ❤️🖤💛❤️🖤💛❤️🖤💛
