Since fellow @soulpreneurs @_shunanda_ shared this quote, it has been on my mind and has been something I have referred back to over the last couple days.
I have been feeling quite a sense of vulnerability as I am nearing the release of my online hub and the stupid voices of fear have seemed to be getting louder, but this quote brings me back to centre...to my why!

1️⃣ SAY NO TO STEREOTYPES. Skintypes are oversimplified stereotypes that fits no one. 7.5 billion people in this world across different climate = just 🖐🏼skintypes? 🤷🏻♀️Plus, how brand A defines 'oily' skin =/= what brand B does. Why do we fixate on buying products for 1 particular skintype? •
Not having 'normal skin' is totally fine, what's normal anyway? Just feed the skin what they REALLY need instead of what the brand thinks you need. 👐🏻CUSTOMIZE if you can (e.g. adding serum to thicken or adding toner to dilute), or it's ok to use products topically as needed.
2️⃣ ALWAYS GO FOR SMALL SIZES. How often do you use up a product anyway? If you insist on buying containers with large opening, you better hope it comes with preservatives (yes, even for organic ones) or anti-bacterial ingredients.
High water content💦, clays, plant extracts☘️, and even you yourself is a huge breeding ground for bacteria. The result is the product going bad, changes in colour, pH, and scent etc. And? Ineffective product, possible allergies, acne or inflammation due to bacteria etc.
3️⃣ LOOK BEYOND. Bad skin isn't necessarily because of what you put on your face! Have you ever wonder why our body can magically separate our scalp 👶🏻 and face 👩🏻? My take is: IT DOESN'T. 🙅🏻Normally, if I have an oily bed hair, my face will automatically feel oily as well - no science here, just pure experience.
Plus what your conditioner is means that's what you sleep on your pillow, and hence your face every night. 👉🏻Does that moisturising conditioner cause you breakouts? I don't know, maybe. You may want to take a look at what products you use to clean your hair💇🏻, your scalp deserve some ❤️!
DAY 45 ☮️ Tip trip! The last of the kitchen, the stove, some internal cladding, the lino and bits and pieces. 💰 Total spend $40 in tip fees. ❤️ Doing a bit if self love Sunday, started the day with poached eggs & avocado on toast, sitting down to a cuppa (by myself), Mr Rover has taken the kids for a drive and I'm heading off soon to our local CWA fundraising lunch at the Barwon Park Mansion in Winchelsea, looking forward to a few hours with adults, and an orange juice, haha

Another trip around a sun that's still burning. 33 you were good for me. You tested me. Brought me to my knees in pain. There were some details that don't shine on their own. You've shown me real moments of happiness where I can't stop smiling for no reason other than I am just happy. Seeing the world through clear eyes and revealing my power to me.
As I'm stepping forward in to another year I'm letting go of how I thought life should be and embracing the life that is working its way in. I'm conserving my time and energy to those who reciprocate. I'm learning we don't have to do it all.
There's a sense of awakening. A rage simmering inside. I may not understand the cycle I'm moving through. But I must trust I am moving. 💫💜🦄
