Perhaps you are just em*bear*assed that you are still reading these *bear*ly passing growlers of puns, possibly while stroking your *bear*d or eating *bear*y pie, or as you roll you eyes at the *bear*or of bad puns.

This little furbaby has been in my face while I am trying to work on my laptop. She just wants cuddles and attention and for me to not do any work. ⠀
She has been putting her face on my laptop, grabbing my hand to make me pat her.⠀
So I thought I would see if she wanted to do my work for me..... haha it was worth a shot!!! ⠀
You don’t need a plan B. Like Will Smith says, “it will only distract you from plan A”. I’m sure you’ve heard the saying “burn the boats”. But how many people actually do that? I bet that in the back of your mind you have the thought “well if this doesn’t work out, I can always get a job here or there”. Sounds ludicrous but you shouldn’t have a back up plan. Because then you subconsciously will not put 110% into plan A. You need to do everything you physically and mentally can to achieve whatever that goal may be without holding back. Anything is possible. 💎

“Promote what you love, instead of bashing what you hate.” .
. This is a “mantra” that has served me well in business for years, I refuse to play the mines better than yours that so many marketers play. . . “I’m open to showing you what it is that I do, IF you’re open to taking a look, but please know and get that my blinders are on, I’m happy where I’m at. .
I always enjoy meeting others who treat “the” industry with the respect it deserves, I thank you for thinking of me and I wish you health, happiness and success”. .
. Cheers to YOUR success! .

Do you have mentors in your life? I really hope you have. I'm grateful to have mentors, these two people are very special to me. They are always supportive, helpful and give me the courage to step out of my comfort zone to become the best version of me. What does a mentor mean to you?
Your environment is so important and sometimes switching it up is just as important!
I know that I'm not the type of person who can work at a desk all day. Or a coffee shop all day. Or an office all day. Or my couch all day. I need to change my environment every few hours to keep my energy levels up and inspiration high!
How do you work best?

A bit about me...I got my degree in photography aged 21, I went into teaching soon after and worked as a course leader in photography at college level for 8 years in total. Once I had my second daughter, two children in childcare was going to cost almost my entire wage. It felt like a brilliant opportunity to go it alone, freelance, work from home and bring up my girls at the same time. It was by far the best decision I made, I am doing a job I love (I did love teaching but as many know politics have made it hard to continue to love!) and I get to see my girls (aged 3 & 18 months now). I was really lucky in the sense that I had a reputation (albeit small) in wedding photography, so I built this up in order to create an income for our family. I have to admit, it can be very testing, but with so much being said about #flexibleworking at the moment, so many people are accepting of me turning up to shoots with two toddlers in tow, or #cbeebies in the background whilst I make phone calls. In fact, the more we talk about it, the more people I meet who are in the same situation! My project for my #maphotography is all about this situation, I’m finding #mothers and #fathers who, in different ways, balance the working from home with children in tow!! If you would like to be part of the project, get in touch!! #powertothemamas#flexibleworking#parentingtheshitoutoflife#portraitphotographer#instadaily#selfemployedlife
