Is Instagram killing art?
Lot of artists we've met lately say that the photo-sharing app we all love is proving to be both an amazing and horrible tool. It's a double-edged sword that is making artists more popular and successful than ever, but at the expense of their art. "It's more interior design masked as progressive painting," says a Delhi-based artist. He rues the loss of control over the imagery he posts. "Our work is screenshot, then disseminated without consent. In an age where a JPEG has almost as much value as the physical object, this is problematic." What's your take? A look back in time to the first costumed figure I ever built! Michael Jackson from the 'Bad' music video! Can't believe it's been 3 years since I built that little guy... Think it's about damn time to make a few more MJs!
