One of the questions we always get asked is where do we buy our cheese.
We are blessed in Melbourne with a number of amazing specialty cheese shops, like @makerandmonger at @prahranmarket. There are multiple benefits to buying cheese from a specialty shop as opposed to a big chain supermarket.
The most important one is that the cheese will be fresh. We always try to get a freshly cut piece but even the pre-packaged cheeses will have been recently cut. The best way to ruin a perfectly good cheese is to suffocate it in plastic.
Not sure what cheese to buy? Have a chat with the friendly cheesemonger and discuss your fromage needs. They will help you select the most suitable cheeses based on your preferences and the season.
Most cheese shops in Melbourne will stock a variety of imported and local artisan produce. Shop at your favourite fromagerie and you will be supporting the local farms and cheesemakers.
If you have a bit of time on your hands and feel like a road trip, @milawacheese are less than a 3 hour drive from Melbourne and have an incredible range of cow’s and goat’s milk cheeses in their farm shop. It does not get much fresher than that! **************************** Awesome video courtesy of @makerandmonger

Medium two topping pizza ($6.99). Not sure if it was due to laziness or possibly some curiosity, but today we ordered some Dominos pizza for lunch. I haven’t had dominos pizza for at least 20 years. “How bad can it be?” I kept thinking. Well, truth be told it wasnt bad at all. True, it’s not a Pasquales or a Round Table, but it was good for the price. The pan pizza was a good choice. Would I order again? Possibly... but with less doubts. #dominos#pizza#lunch 🍕 😍
For those who are curious about Filipino cuisine, @filipinokitchen's Kultura Fesitval is a fun way to try out modern Filipino-American food! 🇵🇭
My fav dish was @hapachicago's brisket kare kare with tender maple mesquite smoked brisket on toasted pan de sal and topped with a coconut peanut annato sauce 🙌#coconutmakeseverythingbetter#sodoescilantro
• 🌮 Disappointed with the Vallarta tacos my first time @LaGloriaSA because the tacos were essentially a big ball of fried flour and lacked any substantial seafood filling. The menu says it's packed with Fish, Shrimp, and Crab but it really didn't have much in there. Instead they make up for the lost volume by adding tons of flour. Not pleasing when you first bite into it. 😖 If there's any redemption for these tacos it would be the slaw that's served on top of the tacos, it was packed with fresh flavors (and even included pickled garlic which was a pleasant surprise). It's not enough to make up for it though and I would definitely just skip the Vallarta tacos on your next visit. 🌮 #TacoReview#FoodieLife#FullNelsonEats
Vada and papad eclipse. 😍
We went swimming today and I realised I am ridiculously out of shape. Also discovered that I don't swim like the others here!! So this afternoon went in swimming hard, which resulted in us being famished.
We went straight to Gare du Nord to get ourselves South Indian Thalis. 😍😍😍 It's safe to say that I can no longer move.
How has your Sunday been? 😊
I know it's probably not feeling super summery at home any more, but in the spirit of spreading a little aloha from afar, I've gotta share one more tropical-inspired smoothie. (Plenty of pumpkin and fall flavours to come, I promise!) ~
