Day 110 🇯🇵
🚲 Shimanami kaido is a very unique bike path crossing Seto sea. On this 90km journey, I crossed several Islands linked by beautifull bridges.
My First idea was to reach to Imabari (Shikokū) from Onomichi (Honshū) and then follow the pelgrim path by feet for at least a week. ☔️Infortunatly the weather is really bad in Japan right now. ⚡️I went half the way on my bicycle under shower rain before giving up 😅
This is a view from one really nice beach I found on my way... #shimanamikaido#bicycle#onomichi#setoislands#rainyday#travel#japan#310
Seirensho Art Museum at the site of a former copper smeltery designed by Hiroshi Sambuichi. Built around the idea of "using what exists to create what is to be," works exhibited by Yukinori Yanagi utilize Yukio Mishima as a motif, a vocal critique of Japan's modernization. #seirensho#setoislands#inujima#japantravel#arigatogozaimasu
Japan Day 16: With a full heart, I bid the art islands of Naoshima and Teshima farewell. I could have easily stayed here for a week and traded in days in Tokyo and Kyoto for more time. To think that there are more of these islands, it means I have to come back! But seriously, for anyone who is considering a Japan trip. Must. Visit. By far it is *the* highlight of my trip.
