Day 138 🇯🇵⚓️🇨🇳
I began a quite long ferry boat journey 🚢 47hours to reach Shanghai from Osaka. Weather is amazing, navigate in Seto sea seems to be really easy. I spent this first day sunbathing on the roof 😎 Following dreams is always rewarding. Goodbye Japan
So long nostalgic beauty, back to reality! Just returned from a very eventful Japan trip and ready to take on the holiday season.
While I was away a lot seems to have passed- Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday... what do? I have some shop specials in mind for the coming days and weeks, stay tuned!
In the mean time enjoy some beauty from Miyajima, one of Japan's most scenic islands just off the coast of my family's home town. It is famous for the Torii gate which is exposed during low tide and partially submerged during high tide. Also notable are the gorgeous Momiji maple trees, dense primeval forests and friendly wild deer! The deer are quite acclimated to humans- likely due to some tourists hand feeding them despite it being prohibited- and can be seen hanging out near the ferry station.
I was surprised and delighted by these unique street lights on Kanatorii Notuji on Miyajima (Itsukushima) Island. I came to see the giant torii, which is beautiful, but my favorite thing were these lights. I captured at least 10 more, no repeats, and they continued farther down the road than I had time to walk. These seem to perfectly express the feelings of the island, and some looked almost like children's drawings which makes me wonder if each street designs their own? #hiroshima#japan#miyajima#greattorii#citylights#travel#torii#deer#ocean#seto#setosea#autumn 🍁
