Well hello gorgeous 💕❤️ I've just been donated this stunner but I've a question for all of you. Does any on have any ideas on getting bad smells out of wood? Her previous owner has parted with her due to an unfortunate strong odour- it was aired out for a long period of time to no avail. If any one has advice I'd be very grateful xx #singer#sewingmachine#vintage#adviceneeded#wood#help
Ignore the old sock, and admire how perfectly my serger is running after $10 and Mark's awesome repair skills! It was stashed away for a few months after the man at a sewing shop told me it would cost $180 to fix and wasn't even worth it. But now she's back in action and I couldn't be happier! #sewing#sewingmachine#serger#crafty#handmade
The origin of embroidery can be dated back to Cro-Magnon days or 30,000 BC. During a recent archaeological find, fossilized remains of heavily hand-stitched and decorated clothing, boots and a hat were found. 🔙🆙#AceSewVac#PicOfTheDay
You guys, I got to sew on a 1940 AF series Singer today!!! That's the equivalent of driving a classic car for auto enthusiasts or playing ball on a professional stadium for sports fans. It's solid metal, easy to thread and a dream to stitch with. I WANT ONE! #sewingnerd
My dirty little secret--I hate winding bobbins. Hate. A: Hai, I would rather get right to the stitching. B: I have a weird thing about writing on anything that isn't paper. C: 😴 But I needed to prep for the project I'm taking on the road with me next week, so I gritted my teeth and did a little. I'm also working on a new organization system for the new house, so eventually that looming pile will (?) end up on bobbins (maybe 😑). Anyone else reject bobbinating?
