My fashion style these days is “would this outfit still work should l ever become homeless.” And yes, l’d say, l nailed it today. #bohochic 🤷🏻♀️ #homelesschic 👍🏼 Wearing my handmade flannel cape and sharing a tutorial on how l made it on my blog today. #diywardrobe
I'm glad to finally be able to sew & post my final blocks from the #SewcialBeeSampler . Life has been a blur since April with lots of work, sickness, weekend travel, events and time spent in my pottery studio instead of sewing. So happy to get a breather and be able to spend time on this wonderful project. Block 17, Spools with @sharonhollanddesigns and @maureencracknell.

Productive day! 100 pieced triangles using @dsquilts #chicopeefabric in both colour ways. Purchased for one quilt but with strategic math was able to cut out enough for two different patterns. Both will be queen size quilts. I'm calling that a win! #sewwhatyoulove
Shush! I LOVE this Literary fabric by @crimsontate for @windhamfabrics ! Purchased this fabric @fwfabricstudio and I do believe I need more before it's gone🙈. Who besides me is old enough to remember the card system in the library?? I totally enjoyed the library as a kid. Still do...its a happy day when I can hide in the library and read! Using some of the card fabric for low volume on my #bluerkblocks for Jessica @craftycop . What's a bluerkblock you ask? Check out her profile to see! #ilovehisfabric#lovehisfabric#sewforacause#sewwhatyoulove#thankyouforyourservice
Working on an apron for the lady across the street who just turned 75 today. She runs circles around me cooking and baking for the whole world. She asked if I would make her a second apron for when her first one is in the wash. I don't usually cut with scissors and I'm not very good at it. I'm a rotary cutter/ruler sort of girl. However when I do use the scissors there's something magical about that sound as they cut through the fabric and it resonates against the table. Brings me back to being a little girl watching my mom cut out the clothes, toys, and baby things that she sewed for my family and extended family. I'm going to use her machine to sew this apron as a quiet little tribute to her. Sure miss her! PS...the machine is named after her...Mary 😊 #sewwithlove#missmymom#giveback#sewwhatyoulove#shareyourgifts#handmade
