It was simply just a decoration as the cake's texture is really quite bad. I don't like cake that's quite dense and this is definitely at the dense part. Will try to improve the recipe and make it more fluffy while moist at the same time. Not usually a baker but baking does make me feel happy. Well, cream cheese and decoration turns out pretty well though. Taste of the cake is kinda good too, but will definitely cut down the amount of sugar used. Not too bad for first trial :p
New kid on the block at Chomp Chomp is @woonwoonpekbeehoon’s 3rd outlet! 😋 We tried their lobster platter, $50 for 2 / $68 for 4. You can find yourself a whole lobster, crayfish, prawns, clams and sliced fish! 🐟🦐🦂 But the best part of this wonderful seafood treasure is actually the rich and sweet crustaceans soup broth!🤤🤤 Can’t stop slurping up the goodness! 😋👍🏻

Salted Gula Melaka Waffle ($15) 🥞

🍴Crispy and fluffy waffle served with a large scoop of salted caramel ice cream and fresh fruits. Liked the addition of nuts that gave a nutty flavor to the sweet-sour berries and buttermilk waffle. However, the waffle was a little on the sweet side due to the generous drizzle of Gula Melaka sauce. I would also have preferred the removal of coconut shavings as it created a somewhat weird after-taste when mixed with the Gula Melaka

This Seafood White Beehoon at Changi Village's Hawker Centre brings an intense Wokhei that is balanced out with the fragrance of Fried pork lard and sweetness from the crayfish and shellfish. This is supposed to be "for 2 people" but our party of 4 finished this heartily!
This flavour is inspired by our love for the small, yellow, cylindrical Minions!
We all know that the Minions LOVE bananas! We went with that and made a fresh banana ice cream, folded in chunky brownies and generous amount of toasted walnut!
This flavour is dependent on a specific banana that we purchase from Tanjong Pagar market, thus it is subjected to availability.
Try it, the Minions approved it! 🍌

We're starting the week with fond thoughts of @chefryanclift's fresh and sustainable flavours all the way from Bali. From his @grow.bali Bistronomie pop-up last week: carbonara with a truffle egg yolk confit, steak tartare and gluten-free chocolate fudge cake in a Kintamani cocoa husk 😗 Definitely on our must-visit list when we're next in Seminyak!
Fun Fact 1: Plural for Gelato is Gelati.
Fun Fact 2: Gelato is churned @ a much slower speed which introduces less air (only 30% vs ice cream which incorporates 100% of air) into the base during the freezing process resulting in a more dense & milky texture that's less creamy than ice cream but with a more intense flavor.

Prices are as follows: Bambino aka One Flavour ($3.90), Piccolo aka Two Flavours ($5.90), Media aka Three Flavour ($7.90) & Grande aka... Nope not Four but FIVE Flavours ($10.90).
Top up 50¢ for Cone or Premium flavours, which in this case I'd the Pistachio Bronte & Hazelnut Piemonte (both premium). 650ml tub sets you back @ only $19.9 & I swear the pistachio from Sicilia makes getting a tub of the former a highly desirable idea especially with Singapore's capricious weather!

Green Chilli Nasi Ayam Penyet!!!🌶🍀
Definitely not for the faint hearted 😂
My chicken was "green chilli" marinated as i didn't wanted to go for the usuals like 'black pepper' 'grilled' etc. And so much for my adventurous state of mind, 😂 i was literally salivating from the spicyness and begging for more rounds of water zzzz
Anyways a side story from this food stall, i was ordering from the aunty and just casually asked her, if this 'other flavoured chicken was spicy' and she gleefully said NO :) Hence, when i collected my dish from above^^^ she said she would let me try the other flavour and she scooped up the sauce and put it on my plate. (You can see from the picture, it's the red colour sauce at the top right) Hahahha i really appreciated her little gesture, but guess what 😂😂😂 IT WAS SPICY, SO I LITERALLY DIED 2 TIMES
