Morning everyone! It's Monday yay. Which means its blog day ! A new post went live at midnight called "three reasons I love #NewYork !" Plus a little vintage VLOG is in there too! Click the link in bio or just head to herluxetravels.com to have a morning read 😊 how's you're morning going so far ?
Cheers to an awesome weekend! Psyched that @outdoorretailer landed a short drive from home... see ya this weekend, Denver! ✌️ Oh, and big thanks to @odellbrewing for sponsoring many outdoor adventures 🍻
Today was my first time touring in a group and it was a new challenge for me. Under 42° C, I had to push my bike harder than normal because I had to adjust the speed with the group. 🚴🏾♀️ Photo by @anyisa
A stop in Gettysburg on my way to New York from Pittsburgh. The scenery was breathtaking which made the 7-hours drive a piece of cake ! I must say, Roadtrip-ing in the US was the best thing I got to do ! ✈️🌎🌍🌏
One of the first thing anyone notices about Japan is its uniform culture. Japanese actively use clothing to establish membership to a group. Even if they are not required to wear a uniform they use ‘pseudo-uniforms’ like all job seekers wear standardized black suits. 🇯🇵|Hiroshima
Hello, beauty! Had a blast exploring the Oregon Zoo today. It was cold, misty, not busy and the views of the animals were amazing! We wandered around for a few hours and each corner was a surprise. This mountain lion was one of my favorites. Can't wait to go back in the Spring! Also excited to take my nephews here ♡
I’ve always loved this view while snowboarding but I’m always going too fast or focused on not running into a tree to really take it in and appreciate it. While I still love snowboarding I’m starting to really enjoy the slower pace of cross country skiing and the painting opportunities it provides. Also, it’s a great way to get outside and enjoy the snow even when it’s not ideal for snowboarding.
Powder day, best day 🙌🏼. Not pictured are the 3 blankets that have been covering me all day and the tissues that have been piling up from a runny nose 👎🏼 time to kick this sickness and hit the slopes!!
whether you catch this before bed or when you wake up you’re still joining us in taking on this week with a strong stance and open arms. *insert golden stars & stripes underwear for full strength.
This is me. I hadn’t showered in 3 weeks, I wore the same shirt for 15 days straight, and had just backpacked 18 miles in one day. I was exhausted, dirty, and sore. But I couldn’t be happier.
The reason I go into the wilderness and give up all the amenities of the “real world” is for the adventure. I go to escape this broken world, even if it's just for a little bit. I go for an experience like no other. I go because I feel at home in nature. I go to see all the magnificent beauty that God has created. I go to climb mountains. I go to sleep outside. I go to humble myself. I go to feel blissful peace and serenity. I go to push myself- physically and mentally. I go for the highs. I go for the lows. I go to make new friends. I go to learn. I go to grow. I go to make mistakes. I go to walk through stunning valleys and regal forests. I go because I can, and I will keep going.
Before I moved away from Texas (literally the night before we took off to CO), mum dressed me up for my very first yearbook photo. @ruffadventuresatx manifested an idea into reality, photographing >150 dogs for the yearbook and raising money for @bailing_out_benji. @ruffadventuresatx thank you for this amazing surprise and the detail in this photo. Of course my boyfriend @riggsovision is calling me on my @nokia phone. What could be better than this? #yearbook#awkwardfamilyphotos
Who else rushed out to play in the snow today? 🙋🏼♀️👋🏻❄️ I had the biggest grin while these big fat flakes were falling down on me. Expect full on snow coverage in my feed for a bit... we’ve been waiting for this for quite awhile! Come on y’all, let’s keep thinking snow ❄️!
Bologna is just 20 minutes from Modena and also much less crowded than other Italian hot spots. The food was to die for. Ever hear of Bolognese sauce or Lasagna? Yep...it's from here. I practically overdosed on lasagna verde al forno while here. Yes it can happen. Will share a pic in my stories for you foodies who haven't drooled enough today.
To force my body to metabolize all that Bolognese decadence, I hiked up to this Sanctuary. It was really just an uphill walk that can easily be done in a dress. Hiking just sounded more serious than walking😜
How does one NOT overeat in Italy?? Any Italians out there...how are you all so thin?? Tell me your secrets!
