This is Lil' Red. I entered into his space by a pond accidentally, following a beautiful afternoon of light down a path behind a Domino's. He wasn't terribly lucid, but then again I wouldn't be either after a day of drinking and fishing by a warm pond. He was sweaty and so was I, and he offered me a seat and explained how the ecology of the pond had changed over some years, and how his son never visited him. Transition is always a relief. Destination means death to me. If I could figure out a way to remain forever in transition, in the disconnected and unfamiliar, I could remain in a state of perpetual freedom. - David Wojnarowicz, in Close to the Knives.

there is always a "reset" button. and today, I'm hitting it hard. deep, intentional breaths in. long, slow breaths out. head toward the sky, allowing the sunshine to pour over my face, my arms, my chest, my body. a bathing of light, a refreshing of the spirit. a fresh start to a not so sweet morning. deep breath in, long breath out. My own personal reset button

"All My Relations" is a selfportrait series.
I wanted to picture myself through the portraits of others.
So I photographed some of my friends, family members, relatives and other people who were present or appeared in my life at that time (the year of 2014):
I asked each person to sit for a photo, not telling them the purpose of it and not revealing my concept.
I told them to close their eyes and relax, while I prepared my square format camera.
When I was ready, I told them to think about me and our relationship.
To think about us, what we have together.
And I captured their reaction and expression.
In that way, in these portraits, I am looking at them but also looking at myself.
I am looking at the image of me created by their feelings, thoughts and sensations reflected in their faces. 🌾🗾🌾 #AllMyRelations
Happy birthday to my best pal and forever favourite, @hukurou_illustration. Gutted that I won't be spending this day with you. Have a beautiful bday Chip, can't wait to give you all the snuggles in the world when you get back to Bristol. Love you to the moon and back!

Photography surrounds me in everything I do, I am dedicated and connected to it in many ways. It is my profession and it also plays a big part in my personal life. Besides the work I do every day with digital cameras, I am completely hooked on instant photography. Currently I'm taking portraits on large format polaroid film.
I started this platform as a point of connection and visibility for the work of female photographers in Vienna. Parallel to this curated account I am starting a bi-monthly get together in Vienna - inviting experienced speakers to provide answers to frequent questions and to talk about daily work issues.
Yasmeen's mum. Madjal Shams is the largest of the remaining Druze-Syrian communities on the Israeli-occupied side of Golan Heights. After the Six Day War, the community was separated from their relatives living or working in Syrian-controlled territory. Many refused to accept Israeli citizen identification and convince Israel to classify them as non-citizens.
