Are you happy? Right now? As you are? In the job you have? With the people in your life?
As a society we are conditioned to follow a certain path, go to school, get good grades for uni, get a great job, earn money & then you will be happy. It's a load of BS!
With friends that did that & have the house, the boat, the pool, the holidays & so on to prove it.... these friends are the least happy people we know. We love them but they are not happy, they don't know what they enjoy, they don't know what they are interested in, or what excites them or what they would do if they ever left 'that job' but what they do know, is they are not who they are truly meant to be & they have no idea how to find out.
Scary right? That we can live a life full of fear? Plodding along as we think we should despite knowing deep down there is another way!!! What do you fear the most?
What's stopping you from change?
What would life look like for you if you focused on what made you happy vs what made you scared?
How would it feel?
And don't just think it, own it... fess up, acknowledge it, comment below!
We don't have all the answers. But sure as hell know things gotta change! Call it rebellion, call it delusional.... I call it HOPE.
Ask yourself what does life want from you? Not what do 'i' want from life..... Honestly I have no fu**ing idea what life wants from me, I just know I'm prepared to find out!
And I wanna ignite something in you to do the same! ❤️ Charlie ❤️ PS: I'll share my 'stuff' tomorrow - my excuses for creating change sooner -see if you can relate?
I've been very pensive and reflective the past couple of days, maybe its because soon i'll have lived in NZ for a year, maybe its the new haircut... who knows but thank you @sobersista for the post, which puts it all into perspective
AMAZING workshop with Michael Gellman! Half way through the participants were asking when the next one is...we are putting together another one in February, stay tuned!
Loved sharing the space with these peeps!
Some things i learnt about going on holiday with a one year old.. • Don’t! Just don’t! • Joking (🤥) in all honesty it’s not easy traveling with a baby but it’s an amazing experience and i can’t wait for our next adventure..in 10yrs time..so here’s some advice that we picked up along the way.. • Book day flights..if you want to slowly loose the will to live & wish that there was a colonial woman on the wing of the plane just so it would land then book a night flight, i dare you #bridesmaids • Stay at a hotel that’s child friendly and remember to check what age they take kids for their holiday club, it’s usually from 3 (we did not know this 🤦🏻♀️) • Pack extra of EVERYTHING cause i solemnly swear to you that you will be peed on, crapped on and vomited on..that your partner will also be peed on, crapped on and vomited on..joining this delightful line up of stains will be the usual array of food, drink & sun screen (yes sun screen stains, this i too did not know 🤦🏻♀️) • Never, i repeat never underestimate the power of the humble baby wipe..may they fill every suitcase, bag, pocket & fanny pack you own..trust me, when your husband asks you at the beginning of an hour long cab ride why your baby has “mustard” all over it, you silently die inside, breath through your eyes & praise the inventor of the baby wipe for saving your sanity, your baby, the entire interior of the cab & your marriage • Choose ALL INCLUSIVE because the only thing on offer with a baby is tagged teamed mouthfuls of buffet food hastily shoved in your face as you dodge flying bits of the gourmet masterpiece you have just presented to your child..so of course you have to drink your body weight in cocktails just to survive the ordeal • Budget for unforeseen disasters..like a category 3 tropical cyclone for example 😒 • It’s inevitable that you will run out of clean underwear no matter how many you take with, have to wash said underwear in the sink, hang it in the shower to dry & have to face housekeeping knowing they’ve witnessed the laundry of your unmentionables..the shame, oh the shame • finally, pack the essentials..a good attitude, laughter, an adventurous spirit and lots of patience
Nothing like the fear of the marathon in 3 months to get your ass out on a very cold Sunday. Fuelled on porridge I headed to box train @moveyourframe before 10 miles through Fitzrovia, Hyde Park & Kensington Gardens. Good soundtrack & happy vibes until mile 9 when the snow came. Very cold, headed for coffee and the furnace that is the central line- never been so happy to be on it. Back into the snow to get home. Did I mention how cold it was? A few steaming cups of tea later....I'm slightly less cold. Hurrah! All trained out now but very pleased and feeling a few steps closer ☺️ #shitgotreal#whoseideawasthis ?
