'PALE MOON OVER OUR LO'I' *Update* Mahalo to everyone who snagged our limited @yoskayyamamoto multiples, which are now SOLD OUT! These pieces are one-of-a-kind and made from a repurposed, naturally distressed canvas drop cloth that he used during his Temple Children mural in Hilo, Hawai’i last year. The background of each multiple was colored entirely by the organic result of Yoskay's palette, paint drips, and the Hilo rain, and then hand silk-screened and hand embellished.
"The design was inspired by our first field trip during our residency on the Big Island - we planted taro and rebuilt a river dam in Waipi’o Valley. This experience helped me reconnect with nature and I felt that we made a small, but impactful change. It also reflects my fascination with the moon and its mystic presence, which I envision protecting the lo’i (taro patch) where we planted our taro together that day." - YY
