It was on this date in 2002 where I first saw #Morrissey perform. When @trashcityrocker8 offered the opportunity it was, ostensibly, an awkward attempt of showing a gal that I liked her🙄. In reality, it was a culmination of years of closeted fandom of #TheSmiths that NO ONE knew about. I knew I would be forever hooked with Morrissey when the first thing he said upon hitting the stage was "Hello Santa Boo Boo, I'm Stinky." Are you kidding me! Before they played the song Mexico, he buttered up the crowd talking about a country whose people are kind and gentle who have always shown him love. People were literally tearing their shirts off when he finally says "this song is called... Belgium." What. A. Dick.
That (and @jeremytalcott dumping the entire Smiths/Morrissey catalog in my hard drive) is why I've become and always will be a full blown, unrepentant Morrissey obsessive. #SorryWillNeverBeSorry#DontForgetTheSongsThatSavedYourLife#SingYourLife#MorrisseyFanatic#TheThingsBoysDoForGirls#IGotTheOneIThoughtICouldntHave
