One of the reasons I joined brothers and sisters in the cold today to march against #slavery in #Libya ...... #daddysgirl the goal is to leave this world better for them than we met it 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿.......
FOUR young girls are FREE! ❌ #enditmovement
#BREAKING : Four girls -- 3, 5, 7, and 8 years old— used to be sexually abused in front of webcams. Today, they are FREE! Police and IJM Philippines team rescued them last month and arrested suspects who were exploiting them. #untilallarefree
Returnee migrant Jeremiah Adelu (centre), brought home from Libya, is embraced by relatives in Benin, capital of Edo State, Nigeria.
Out of over 400 Nigerian migrants that voluntarily returned from Libya, more than half have returned to Edo State, where a large number of them came from, after being stranded in the volatile North African country en route to Europe.

This is taking place right now in Libya 🇱🇾 2017 and NOBODY ain’t saying a peep about it. Yes these human beings are literally being held and sold as slaves. I don’t want to sit here and talk about “what if’s” but what if these people were white, America would have every special force team sent over in a heart beat. The media would be sharing this story as if nothing else existed.
Repost from @mossb
“When France got bomb I see the entire instagram saying pray for France, when Manchester got bomb I see the same, when Texas was flooding everyone was saying pray for Texas, but this slave trade is currently going on in Libya and we don’t see it all over social media... This was really hard for me to swallow and accept.
But I cannot accept the cruel reality and not post it to bring awareness and images that might shock you.
If we have the braveness to go and invade a country then let's intervene in this human violations cruelty.
But it doesn't affect you right? Well fuck you because they are human beings just like you and me.
Thoughts and prayers? They are useless and don't do shit.
Action? Yes, and is our duty to share this to bring justice for them." #standup911#libya#slavery#netneutrality
If #DonaldTrump 's long list of climate denying nominees wasn't terrifying enough, his pick to lead the Council on #EnvironmentalQuality might be the most extreme and dangerous one yet.
#KathleenHartnettWhite isn't just your run of the mill extreme #rightwing#climatedenier . She's a senior fellow at the #KochBrothers and #Exxon funded #TexasPublicPolicyFoundation , believes #carbondioxide is harmless "plant food," equates belief in #climatechange to "#paganism ," and calls #solar and #windpower "unreliable and parasitic."
But her most egregious argument against #climatechange asserts that #coal use in the 1800s actually ended #slavery in the #UnitedStates , saying "#fossilfuels dissolved the #economic justification for slavery."
A person with such heinous, #racist , climate denying views has no business overseeing #environmental policy in our country. We must speak out now to pressure the #Senate to block and #resist her confirmation before it comes up for a vote.
Tell the Senate: Reject climate denier Kathleen Hartnett White's nomination to run the Council on Environmental Quality.
The #petition to the Senate reads:
"Kathleen Hartnett White is a dangerous right-wing climate change denier who holds extreme, anti-science views. Block and resist her nomination to lead the Council on Environmental Quality."

@yinandyani fully supports #humanrightsday annually on #dec10th . Human rights are the only thing every human being is entitled too, and it’s sad that some of us still have to fight for the most basic rights. #yinandyani is fighting for article 25 “Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control. Motherhood and childhood are entitled to special care and assistance. All children, whether born in or out of wedlock, shall enjoy the same social protection.”
#lgbt#civilrights#womensrights#udhr#un All human beings are born free and equal, Everyone has the right to life, liberty and the security of person. No one shall be held in #slavery or servitude or #torture . All are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to equal protection of the law. Men and women of full age, have the right to marry and to found a family. Everyone, without any discrimination, has the right to #equalpayforequalwork . Everyone has the right to #education .
Paul Cuffe, a descendent of the Ashanti Empire of Western African. His father, Kofi, was kidnapped, forced in to slavery at the age of ten and subsequently shipped to New England. This is where he would meet Paul’s mother, a Native American by the name of Ruth Mosses. Paul’s father would eventually earn his freedom allowing Paul to be born a free man in Massachusetts around 1759.
Peep the stats:
1780: Led a group of free blacks to petition the Massachusetts government either to give African Americans and Native Americans voting rights or cease taxing them.
1811: Reputedly the wealthiest African American in the United States and the largest employer of free African Americans.
Disillusioned with the racial status of African Americans, and believed the creation of an independent African nation led by returnees from the United States offered the best prospects for free blacks and for African modernization.
Launched his first expedition to Sierra Leone, sailing with an all-African American crew to Freetown. While there Cuffe helped to establish “The Friendly Society of Sierra Leone,” a trading organization run by African Americans who had returned to West Africa.
1815 Cuffe led 38 African American colonists to Sierra Leone.
Paul Cuffe, is #blackexcellence took his own money and lead a movement to employer African Americans by giving them control of their destiny. #blm#blackmen#africanamericanhistory#africanhistory#knowyourhistory#knowledgeofself#facts#africa#african#history#slavery#motivation#inspiration#AHistoryofBlackExcellence
Ok listen here you so called "good people", while you sit in your room in the morning thinking about what to wear or whether to eat that or that for dinner or what to do for Christmas, there are people being sold off as slaves in Libya. So instead off whining about it you could do something about it. Not doing anything is the same as accepting it is happening. Those are not my words, it's a quote I saw somewhere nowhere who cares. So if you want to be a "good person" for real, this is what you do:
Contact some politicians or whatever like Ambassador Haley to make them prioritize this issue.
Donate to International Organization for Migration
Donate to United Nation Refugee Agency
You can also donate to other organizations like World Food Program, Save the Children, Oxfam, and Medecins Sans Frontieres
And after you have done this, then you can call yourself a good citizen of Earth.
And if you don't then go ahead and live your worthless life pretending to be a good person. Bye.
