And YES. 😍🙏🏼
A famed breakfast here in Ubud: the SOL jar.
Here's a mixture of chai flavored chia pudding, a green smoothie with fruits and greens, papaya, dragonfruit, coconut yoghurt, cacao nibs, goji berries and a raw muesli granola bar with protein-filled seeds and nuts.
All raw, all vegan, all incredibly delicious 🙌🏼
Some fun facts about these amazing foods:
>> Chia seeds are super high in protein and contain high amounts of omega-3 fatty acids that help brain function and aid in digestion.
>> Raw cacao contains the highest amount of antioxidants of any food, and very high amounts of magnesium and iron as well as raises levels of serotonin and dopamine in the brain (new antidepressant solution??! Yes please)
>> (to those worried about fruit sugar) fruit, in its whole, pure, raw form, contains all the fiber and enzymes necessary to aid in the digestion of the sugar content, as well as slow the release of sugar into your system. Don't go crazy with fruit, but especially if it's fruit grown locally, enjoy it!!
>> As most know, leafy greens are extremely high in minerals, vitamins and other nutrients that replenish our overall system, some fight against cancer, and they give us energy--particularly raw greens.
>> Seeds and nuts are wonderful plant-based sources of protein; raw you'll get the most nutrients, but can be hard to digest. Sprouted nuts are the way to go in my opinion-- and also simply getting to know your body, listening to when enough is enough (e-nut is e-nut? #punintended ? 😝)
I went to a juice bar for the first time today after work and picked up a few cold pressed juices and this smoothie bowl. I don't know why I waited so long to go to one, but I'm definitely hooked! #juicebar#plantbased#plantpower#smoothiebowl
Okay! This one is a winner!!! Today I grabbed everything out of the freezer and then before I closed the door I looked down at the huge bag of frozen ginger I have and grabbed a chunk. In my Pitaya bowl today..... I put:
Pitaya // frozen banana// frozen blueberries // grated frozen ginger (omg!!!!!) // almond milk // Brain On // Vital Proteins. On top I put Lily's vegan chips// my granola.
The ginger made this bowl and winner today!!! Holy moly!!! What a kick!
Despite the temp at the moment, I rarely ever miss a day without a post workout ultimate smoothie bowl. Such an easy way to get your greens in, can't even taste the courgette and spinach in this 😜 I also added my favourite toppings and a drizzle of @ceresorganics Brown Rice Malt Syrup #SmoothieChallenge
My morning smoothie bowl after a good leg workout 💪🏼 Ive always been obsessed with blueberries but also added a banana and some pineapple. I saw someone add pb to the top of their smoothie bowl rather then mixed in and I'd say I got irritated cuz I couldn't find the chunk of peanut butter lol then found it and ate it all in one go.. typical for me 😂
How do you power through the afternoon?! 💪🏼👊🏼 It's smoothie bowl time over here, inspired by @hummusapien!

Repost from @ourmindfulkitchen Moringa #smoothiebowl topped with berries and almond pulp leftover from homemade nut milk! Moringa contains all the essential amino acids needed by the body. Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins which are needed to grow, repair and maintain cells, therefore moringa is likely to increase energy, balance blood sugar levels, and improve memory and mental clarity.
So this was supposed to be an acai bowl but... I forgot all about the acai on my quest for coconut. So! Smoothie bowl it is! Blended 1/2 avocado with coconut milk, 1/2 banana, chocolate Vega protein powder. Topped with strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, unsweetened coconut, 1/2 trader joes nut bar, and a tiny bit of almond butter. This is two servings, I couldn't finish it! #smoothiebowl#fruit#organic#paleo#healthydessert
2014 >>> 2017.
It genuinely makes me giggle when I think about what used to rule my world back in 2014. I was consumed by thoughts of food and weight. I planned my whole life around what and when I was eating. I counted my almonds and weighed my oats in the morning. I put every tiny detail into myfitnesspal (God, the day I deleted that fucking app was the best day of my LIFE). I remember starving myself on that particular day to look good in my size 4 dress... I'm such a WORLD away from that mentality today, and I'm genuinely so happy with life right now. I'm back to my giggly, adventurous self - and FUCK I'm glad about it. I've never felt so damn alive.
I write this in the hopes of inspiring those who are struggling to push through and keep moving forward. Getting over the bumps in recovery is so worth it. Ask anyone who is on this side, it's WORTH IT.
Protein tropical smoothie bowls are so delicious! This time I added papaya within the smoothie base along side with @freedomspices beetroot latte mix for extra antioxidants and @pranaon vanilla plant based protein ❤️🍇💐
🍍hot days & cold bowls🍍⠀
I feel like this month has finally brought some of that much needed rest. A slower pace, more time with the people that light up my world, and moments of quiet reflection on my goals, my values...and what I want to make for dinner tonight 😉 ⠀
Oh and speaking of food, grab the recipe for this dreamy tropical smoothie bowl on the blog! #linkinbio ⠀
