📷 “When you point one finger, there are three fingers pointing back to you”. Trump supporter chants “Donald trump is the least racist person!”, points blame at protestors, and meets solemn resolve of a women’s march attendee.
Proud to be in the company of the fine human beings who represented women’s rights today in the bitter cold who met this noise with class. Follow me for more snapshots of life through a woman’s lens.
📷 “Light of Stornoway Harbor”, 2017. Beyond the branches of a windswept tree playing host to the local lichen, the Arnish Point Lighthouse can be seen in striking contrast against the deep blue of the clear Hebridean waters and muted purples of the sky. The lighthouses of Lewis hold particular significance and melancholy for locals for their connection to the Iolaire disaster — which saw 205 men returning from The War lose their lives just yards off the shore as their returning ship sank into the frigid water after colliding with the “Beasts of Holm”, or Biastan Thuilm. A layered composition has been chosen to highlight, distort, and distract the vast distance between that same still-frigid summer water of Stornoway Harbor and the beacon of Arnish Point 🏴 #scotlandsbeauty#whatsyourhistory#home#homeiswheretheheartis#scotlandphotography#landscapephotography#socialdocumentaryphotography#photography#canonphotography#nofilter#noreallynofilter
Got to think differently when working and just remember to photograph what is in front of me not wishing for something to happen, something is already happening, just position self, watch and observe then make images.
