Deepest thanks to the very cool city of Minneapolis, The Warming House, Sarah Morris, Jess Parvin; to the quaint and nostalgic cities of Algona, IA, and Seward, NE, Hope Dunbar, Mia Hegarty and her darling band, that place with the fine cocktails in a small town, all your guest rooms and breakfasts, oh, and mega thanks to Eisenhower, because that interstate system sure is reliable and sure never ends.

One year ago today, three brave men started an epic journey to attempt a fastest known time run of the Oregon section of the Pacific Crest Trail. THIS, is the very first frame I took at the California/Oregon border. It isn't good, in fact, it's pretty bad. If you want to see the good ones, go to www.chrislowphoto.com/orpctfkt #orpctrun#somanymiles#thisisultra#fktattempt#onestepatatime Also check out One Step at a Time documentary by @pursuitfilms @stevenmortinson @brysonsteele staring these three brave dudes @yassinediboun @scottloughney and @travisliles
Went on a 6 hour 11 mile hike on this warm 107° day. Some darn steep trails, the pictures don't show accurately at all lol! First hiked up to the top of the ridge, really steep up. Then hiked down off the top of the ridge, after that we hiked down another trail, both super steep down on shale and pumice. Loads of star thistle too. Ended up down at the road finally, then had to hike all the way back to the truck which seemed like forever lol. Only fell on my ass twice hiking down 😂👌 It was a good hike! Up at the top of the ridge there were bunches of the big power lines, they're creepy, I hate that buzzing noise they make.
The photo kinda gives it away, but I'm going on a big hike for my birthday, peeps! I'm so excited! Check out my latest blog entry (link is in my profile) to read all about it! And there's more entries (and photos) to come!
