Oh how nice it is to be reunited with my kitchen lover #thermomix 💖 this is a seriously easy creamy miso-cauliflower soup, if you have a thermomix it's seriously chopping board-free🤗
After all the work and moving around I just wanted some creamy calming soup for my "vata"ered body🙌 caulis are not one of vata foods but adding miso and drizzle of oil makes this a vata-friendly soup! With some green nori, toasted seeds for a bit of Japanese touch😉💚 💛Ayurvedic creamy miso-cauli soup💛
Sauté chopped onion and garlic, add 1 teaspoon of whole cumin seeds (aids digestion) with butter or any preferred oil on low/medium heat until golden brown and aromatic. Add roughly chopped cauliflower, enough water to cover the cauliflower and cook with lid on until tender (about 10-15min). With a stick blender or in a blender, blend with table spoon of miso (I used white miso to keep the colour nice and white) pinch of pepper until smooth. Add salt if it needs more. Serve with toasted seeds, drizzle of evo and green nori flakes.

Exactly what the doctor ordered. I've had what we think was food poisoning and this udon soup is all I've been thinking about eating as my stomach has eased. Tastes bloody good too! #udon#japanese#hatebeingsick#thebestmedicine
Ok so we're fed up with winter already. It's too cold...everyone gets sick....it sucks. If you need a little help to get you over the fence into Spring, then check out my recipe for the best chicken soup ever. It's full of restorative nutrients, it's not hard to make and it's just yum. The recipe is up on the blog now and as usual, there is a link in the bio 💚
I've been feeling a little under the weather so yesterday I made this get-well-soup to nourish and boost my immune system (recipe 👇) - so far it seems to be helping! I had a sinus headache yesterday and now it is reduced to a slight scratch in the back of my throat, but my head is clear so that is a win in my book! I hope none of you have the same problem, but if you do, try this soup! Don't be turned off by the fluorescent yellow-green - that's the good stuff! 😋 It has lots of anti-inflammatory ingredients and enough protein and fiber to keep you nourished and energized while you fight off the cold! 👊💪
Wishing everyone a happy Tuesday! ▫️
- 1 tbsp raw cold-pressed coconut oil
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup cubed zucchini
- 2 cups chopped kale
- 1 tbsp minced fresh ginger
- 1 tbsp ground turmeric
- 1/4 tsp yellow curry powder
- 1/8 tsp cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups cooked chickpeas/garbanzo beans
- 2-3 cups water
- Fresh chopped mint and basil (add right at the end)
In a medium-large pot, start with the oil and veggies and sauté until halfway cooked. Then add all the spices, chickpeas and water and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer for about 5-10 minutes and then add the fresh herbs right as you turn off the heat. That's it! 🌱🍲It's a very quick soup to prepare because it is all veggies and not starchy, which makes it easy to digest so your body can focus on fighting off your cold! I like to serve it with a scoop of cooked quinoa for added protein and fiber. I like to make this soup even when I'm not feeling sick - it's very flavorful and it just feels good to eat! Tag me or let me know if you try it! 💛

Soup is awesome because you can be as creative as you want, add ingredients to your pot and it can be different everytime.✨💙💫💜
In my case, I always think of ways to make my bowl an anti inflammatory fighter. Simple ingredients, wholesome goodness in every bowl.
Love yourself enough to take the time to feed your body what it needs.

Begin be heating up a large skillet to medium high heat. Melt the coconut oil.Add onion, garlic, and ginger. Cook until fragrant and onion is almost clear, about 5 minutes.Add carrots and your boiled water, bring to a re boil.Reduce heat to simmer. Cook until carrots are nice and soft, about 25 minutes. Slowly stir in coconut milk (or coconut cream if using). With an immersion blender, blend soup until smooth. You can also use a regular blender and blend in batches. Add salt and black pepper to taste.
Parsly to garnish
Serve hot & Enjoy
Cause it's lunch time here! 🙌🏻😋 why soup in the middle of summer? 🤷🏼clearly I don't follow the rules🤓 anddd I can make a Bolognese sauce out of this very quickly😏
🔸1 big carrot, grated
🔸1 big onion, finely chopped
🔸1 bell pepper
🔸Potatos cut into small cubes (sprinkled with rosemary and baked at 180°C until crispy) 🔸Seasoning of your liking
Sauté the first 3 ingredients in a hot pot (big/deep enough to cook the lentils in) until the onions start looking transparent.
Add seasoning and the lentils in. Mix for 1min and add enough water to cover the lentils. Lower the heat and cook until they're soft or with a bite if you prefer. You will need to add water while they cook every now and then so don't take your eyes off of them cause they can burn fast☝🏻
I'm eating this often cause it reminds me of my mom, she makes the best lentils soup evah! 💃🏼
What's your favorite childhood food? 💙
Mi Amorcito isn't feeling good so I made him some chicken noodle soup and ginger tea. Tried out a wonderful soup recipe from @bakerbynature where I roasted the chicken in a buttload of spices and then shredded it which definitely added flavor to the broth. I love that this soup is super chunky and I like the addition of dill. And the secret ingredient was love :) ❤️ #chickennoodlesoup#sick#soup#madewithlove#soupforthesoul#bakerbynature#love
