Sticky Chicken Wings.
A great crowd pleaser especially with Kids. Chicken drumsticks or thighs could be used (adjust cooking time) but wings are cheap, no skill is required and kids will enjoy mixing up the marinade.
475 g chicken wings
For the marinade
I teaspoon cornflour
2 dessert spoons honey
3 dessert spoons ketchup
1 1/2 dessert spoons soy sauce
1 clove crushed garlic
Optional sesame seeds to finish
Mix all of the marinade ingredients in a not metallic bowl with a fork, making sure there are no lumps of cornflour left. Coat the wings in the mixture. Ideally leave for 2 hours, but can be cooked immediately or left over night.
Place on a baking sheet (we covered ours sheet with parchment paper first) and then cover the chicken wings in foil. Season and place in a preheated oven of 150 degrees for 25 mins. Remove the foil and either turn up the heat, or transfer to an oven of 200 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until the wings are sticky. Sprinkle with sesame seeds while hot.
Meet my new OC, Soy Sauce. 😄 (I know, it's a fucking dumb name.) I thought of her when I was walking home from school today. I had been wanting to create an OC that is like the opposite of an older OC I have. (It's also kind of how I gave her the stupid name.)
