|| The Dairy Industry || The cycle of forcibly impregnating a cow, taking her baby away within 24-48 hours (for slaughter for veal or to grow and become another milk machine), then taking her milk, and then getting her pregnant again for the whole cycle to start again is nothing less than brutal. This happens from around the age of two until the age of six, when generally they become too weak and exhausted to continue and they are sent to slaughter. And that's not even mentioning the amount of times they get mastitis during this whole process. I don't think anyone in the meat or dairy industry suffers physically or emotionally like a female cow! #vegan#veganmum#govegan#plantbased#plantbaseddiet#mothersagainstdairy#speakingforthosewhocant#vegansofinstagram#vegansofig#choosekindness#choosecompassion

Welcome All, new followers, old friends, new acquaintances! We are Penny & Shorty.... 2 sassy love-a-bull NY grown, currently SoFlo living, adorabul... PITBULLS! 😜 Our mom is on a tireless journey to spread awareness to all those individuals that judge our book by its cover. She gets upset when she sees alot of bad things in the news, & on social media. We don’t really have voices, so she is our voice.. #SpeakingForThoseWhoCant . She is just one soul, trying to make the view of our breed better, more beautiful. You will learn, & see, we are 2 of the goofiest dogs you will EVER meet. We love all dogs- size never matters, we love humans, we love children, but what we love MOST, is to attack humans with our slobbery wet kisses & hugs! Penny is the older sister (I am the one who is the penny color, duh 🤷♀️) and Shorty is the low key younger sister who is the trouble maker (I am a bully breed, so my mom thought it would be cute to call me shorty cause I’m close to the ground HA mom thinks she’s funny) Penny is a rescue (but she really rescued my mom) Shorty is a foster failure (mom couldn’t let her go, she was being sold on Facebook to a backyard breeder! WHO DOES THAT?!) Our mission? To make sure our page brings you joy, spread awareness, & gives you a smile on rough day! Thank you to our new followers! Keep spreading the word... make sure everyone follows the AdventuresofPennyandShorty !!! #ProudPitbullMom#DontBullyOurBreed#PitbullsofIG#Pitbullsofinstagram#PitbullVixens#SpeakingForThoseWhoCant ❤️🐶🐶❤️🐾🐾
I am posting this for two VERY important reasons✨⚠️🐱
1. My main concern is finding this friendly, loving Himalayan a foster/forever home. Animal lovers around my neighborhood have approached me when I stop to pet him on my morning run and have asked me to take him and I don't believe it or my dogs will feel comfortable sharing my small home peacefully. He has stolen a piece of my heart and I can't see him sleeping outside any more. The neighbors give him bowls of food and water, and he cries to be held which we give him attention when possible but please, if you can give him a warm home even temporarily I am willing to pay for food/medicine etc. He is declawed and as winter is approaching he will be unable to survive on his own. Please comment or message me if you or if you know someone who would love to help this fur baby in need
2. I have a sore heart for all of the pets I have seen neglected. This case is different however, I would be happy to see this kitty cared for, even if we groom him well enough to have a chance for adoption if it's necessary we surrender him to a humane society. BUT IF YOU ARE SELFISH AND DO NOT INTEND ON KEEPING, WATCHING AND CARING FOR PETS, AS IF YOU BIRTHED THEM YOUR DAMN SELF, FOR 10-20 YEARS DO NOT BE STUPID ENOUGH TO ADOPT! Animals gain a trust for who they love and will stay loyal to you, it is SHAMEFUL to not return that loyalty and dispose of them after taking them in. Please realize animals do not have a voice to tell someone they're scared, hurting, or confused.. I have returned countless strays this summer where half of the owners did not realize they were even missing. If you are not responsible enough to take care of a child you are not responsible to have pets, they are just as much work. I know I can't save them all, but I can and will spread awareness until I die
My wish is for ALL our 4-legged friends throughout the world🌍 to have food in their bellies, are safe & healthy, and unconditional Love!
Such devastating news this morning, my friends at @s.o.s_cats has lost a few of her fur-babies due to a virus outbreak.
Sending you Love, prayers & may God give you strength🙏 to continue your journey helping those who can't fend for themselves! If anyone can help please check out their page! @s.o.s_cats Together we can make a difference!
They call me a preacher ... yet the biggest "preach" around is the world we live in, programming us from near birth to truly believe that we were "born to eat meat"... I have simply awoken to what I believe is the "truth" and feel extremely passionate about it.
I simply care for every "being" with a soul 💗⭐️ 💡
Pictured below are a picture of Khaleesi when she got to Stray Rescue and a picture of what she looks like today, a brief story of her very sad past, a painting of Khaleesi and done by Khaleesi. These paintings are on display at Urban Wanderers Art Show for the next 4 weeks.
We adopted Khali in October of 2016 from Stray Rescue. We went looking at a different dog amd were told that things weren't going to work out with that particular dog but they had one they thought would fit nicely into our little pack. They showed us Khali and told us a little about her. She came in weighing 32 pounds and terrified. She had horrible fleas and her paw pads were completely torn up. She had severr heartworm and patchy skin. She very quickly started loving the people at Stray Rescue and eventually was fostered out. When we met Khali (Stray Rescue name Calypso) we instantly fell in love. She was so sweet and completely loved Arian (Arian certainly returned the favor) and we just knew she would be perfect in our home.
Next Drago had to meet her and make sure those 2 would get along..well Khali completely ignored Drago and he was love struck. He followed her around and just so badly wanted to play. After a successful meet we put in the adoption application and paid the adoption fee and we spoke to the vet who was responsible for making our baby look so much better. We discussed her suoer strict diet and severe heartworm, we discussed daily medications and heartworm treatment and we knew we could handle it. Later that week, Khali's foster mom brought her to her new home. She has been spoiled ever since and we couldn't imagine our home without her.
Fast forward to 8 months later...Miss Khali is now 60 pounds and heartworm free, has 2 fur brothers and a human sister who love her. She is missing almost all of her teeth from the street life and has some scars on her body from her horrible past. BUT she is so very loved and will be for the rest of her days!
Miss Khaleesi will never have to know what it's like to be scared anymore. She wont have to wander the streets looking for food or shelter. She wont be used for breeding and thrown away like trash. She will only see love ❤❤❤
