Lola, you stole my heart. Having you close to me was life changing. I realized and experienced first hand, that even though I don’t have “farm” animals as pets, you are as loving, intelligent and deserving of life and love as any other conventional pet. I grew stronger in my beliefs of veganism, and found a new passion for mini pigs!!!! Thank you for letting me find you and return you back home. #notbacon#minipig#animallover#animalrights#speciesism
As of today, Michael Kors and Jimmy Choo are the latest in the luxury fashion industry to go completely fur free. Others like Gucci and Stella McCartney are already against fur (and in Stella case, leather-free too). Thanks to this leadership, less and less furry animals to live caged lives and be killed for fashion. It looks better on them anyway🙏❤️❤️🦊 #furfree#fauxfur
On the 3rd day of Christmas The Kinks gave to meeee
An avocado slicer under the Christmas tree 🌲
Yes, this is a staple in a vegan household! For those of us who like to make our own guacamole among other things this is great to have. Tag 2 friends in the comments and you could have it too! #christmaswiththekinks
If you have a cat or a dog as a pet, would you ever eat them? If you said no, and you eat meat, have you ever wondered why you consume the flesh from other innocent animals, who have the same feelings your cat or dog has? When we look at the basic principles of life, there is no difference between a cat and a cow, a pig and a dog. They all feel pain and suffering just like us, they all want to feel loved and give love just like us, they all want their own family just like us, and they all want to be happy just like us.
Carnism is the invisible belief system that conditions people to eat certain animals. This is why in the UK we eat pigs and not dogs, even when scientists have found that pigs are smarter than dogs. We are conditioned by carnism the day we are born. We grow up with this incredibly violent belief system, but because we just see it as normal and natural to follow this belief, it makes compassionate and peaceful individuals pay someone to carry out premeditated acts of the most horrific violence imaginable to the most innocent beings on this planet, who have committed no crime, they were just born as a pig, as a cow, as a chicken, or as a sheep. We stop supporting this belief system the day we challenge it, and challenging it could change your life for better, forever.
Free yourself from carnism. Stop supporting industries that profit from the exploitation of innocent childlike animals. Stop supporting industries that profit from your poor health due to your consumption of animal products. Stop supporting industries that are destroying this beautiful planet we live on. Go vegan. You were born that way!

WHY LOVE ONE AND EAT THE OTHER?
The answer to these questions can be summed up by a single word: perception. We react differently to different types of "meat" not because there is a physical difference between them, but because our perception of them is different.
How would you respond if somebody told you the main ingredient in the stew that you just ate was dog meat? Such a shift in perception can feel like a shift in lanes on a two-lane road: the yellow line radically alters our experience. The reason we have such a powerful response to a shift in perception is because our perceptions determines, in large part, our reality; how we perceive a situation - the meaning we make of it - determines what we think and how we feel about it. In turn, our thoughts and feelings often determine how we will act.
Most Americans perceive dogmeat very differently than they do pork; therefore, dogmeat in invokes very different mental, emotional, and behavioral responses.
One reason we have such different perceptions of pigs and dogs meat is because we view pigs and dogs differently. The most frequent - and often the only - contrast we have with pigs is when we eat them. But for a large number of us, our relationship with dogs is, in many ways, not terribly different from our relationship with people. We call them by their names. We say goodbye when we leave and greet them when we return. We play with them. We buy them gifts. We take them to the doctor when they're sick and spend thousands of dollars on their treatment. We bury them when they pass away. We love them. They are helpers, our friends, our family. We love dogs and eat pigs not because pigs and dogs are fundamentally different - pigs like dogs, have feelings, preferences, and consciousness - but because our perception of them is different. And, consequently, our perception of their meat is different as well.
The truth is there is no moral justification for inflicting pain upon someone who feels pain. #govegan

Repost from @torontocowsave .
I don't care if I lose followers for this, but if you could look at it from the victim's perspective and put your "convenience" aside, you will see that they are no different from us.
We all feel. We all hurt. We want to live our lives, and love & be with our families.
Their lifetime of suffering is not worth your 20 minutes of sensory pleasure. There is no excuse.
Live and let live. Thrive and let thrive. Love and let love. Go vegan, and never look back.
DAY 15. FISH 🐟 “If we continue to eat fish, we are facing empty oceans 30 years from now“ @letusbeheroes 🐋 The fishing industry actually catches so much more than just the fish we eat.⠀
They use enormous fishing nets and also catch millions of dolphins and seahorses and other fish as bycatch. One example: for 0,5 kilos of shrimps 12 kilos of other sea animals were killed and thrown back into the sea 🌊. Fish are highly sensitive beings and like all other animals they are not here for us! THE STRIPED TIGER, T.I.F.C., 2017
This tiger would pace his enclosure all day. Further, about every 15 minuets he would loudly howl in a crying out of breath way, as if having a recurring panic attack. Many animal rights people like to say that they speak up for the animals because they can’t speak for themselves...but if the world actually listened to the animals and to their needs - They clearly speak for themselves.
CRIME SCENE 🐼 Shanghai, China 2015 Here, two children look into the head of a panda bear. They are watching an educational video about the panda bear in its natural habitat, while the real panda is imprison behind them. The video is far more entertaining to them than the out of view sleeping bear. The most disconcerting parts about imprisoned animals in zoos are that the animals are displayed as merely cute curiosities and their psychological welfare and health are completely disregarded. Zoos claim that they exist for educational and research purposes, yet what can one learn from an animal that is mentally insane? Could you learn, write and educate the world on human behavior from visiting a human insane asylum? Please watch nature shows at home and don't patronize the zoo with your children. Consider donating your money to natural habitat preservation and research.
