This girl epitomizes all that is Bohemian. Please welcome Gypsy Rose to the Dustbin family!
If this girl could, she would be wearing a ankle length maxi dress with her fringed vegan purse strapped across her body and a ring of flowers around her head. She claims to have always lived an unconventional and uncomplicated lifestyle, moving from Yurt to Yurt and has seen a good part of the world.
As she heads into most likely her 6th decade, she has begun to question her nomadic lifestyle and the lack of creature comforts that a yurt offers. So catching her at a weak moment we were able to convince her that maybe it was time for a revival. With promises of keeping her authentic and not stifling her wanderess spirit, we proceeded with zest!
A custom color was a must for Gypsy Rose so a vibrant blend of @countrychicpaint "Devotion and Vintage Cupcake"it was. This blazing Raspberry Coral color was the result and everyone was happy! Gypsy's hardware of course had to be authentic so we cleaned it up and burnished them with some gold. Her well sliding 4 drawers have been lined with a shiny gold pinstripe and her body waxed to a sheen. We appropriately distressed her, catching her corners, because yurt life doesn't come without a few bumps and bruises. Her original wood was 1960's "textured" and there was no getting away from that so her grain proudly shows through in areas which makes her proud of her bohemian roots.
Miss Gypsy Rose seems pretty settled here in the comfort of the studio surrounded by love and light. She's pretty laid back and willing to spread her love in a new home.
