A Sam Approves™ Healthy Breakfast:
Most days, even on the road, Sam finds a way to get something in his system as soon as he starts his day. It's worth the presumed hassle of finding something that's going to keep him going when he needs it the most, even if it means a few extra minutes of preparation, and twice that worth of Dean's taunting about it. Fact is, without breakfast, Sam can be moody as hell. He found out early on that if he skipped a morning meal before school, or worse, a case or long car ride, the rest of the world would pay the price. Over the years, he's developed some tips and tricks that help him make sure he's satisfied, hassle free... for the most part.
Some of his favorite, healthy, on-the-go breakfast foods he'll mix and match are as follows: -1 handful of almonds or mixed nuts/trail mix (keeps him full for longer) -1 banana
-a cup of yogurt
-a baggie of dry cereal (his favorite for late-for-school mornings)
-an apple/orange (or really, any fruit on hand)
-fruit juice or milk (plus his water!!)
-granola/granola bar -oatmeal (filling, easy, and cheap! Add cinnamon or fruit for flavoring)
-two eggs, scrambled (if he's got the time and the luxury)
-two pieces of wheat toast (again, if available) with his choice of toppings for the day
The lesson for today ? If you can help it, don't skip breakfast ! Sam might not be a nutritionist, but he's found these tricks to be better than nothing! Stay healthy and energized !! Have such a good morning !!
