I love Milkshake Saturdays. They always start with milkshakes then end with us finding some new place to explore or some adventure to go on.
During yesterday's Milkshake Saturday we thought we'd grab some from a dairy and take them to a playground that we hadn't been to yet (the newly revamped playground at Trentham Memorial Park in Upper Hutt). We then stumbled across a new bush walk (Barton's Bush) which was right next to the playground that I never knew existed, so we went off to explore it. It's perfect for littlies because the path is fenced so they can explore independently without the risk of getting lost, so both our boys had a fab time running through. There are some gorgeous birds that sing and fly around, and at one point we had three fantails come and perch on the branches directly above us.
Eldest Little Man wanted to take this photo of me because the branch above me "makes it look like you're standing in a big heart mum" 😍
So turns out our milkshakes are just a gateway drug to adventures 😂
