Proper assessment and home care routines ensure a comprehensive and thorough treatment plan. It's important to recognize that time away from your treatments far outweighs your time on the table. Stretching and strengthening exercises are the client's responsibility in fulfilling their role through their recovery and maintenance process.

The topic of weight is an invariable topic in most meetings. If you meet a friend after a long time, the initial greetings are often followed by: "You've lost weight" or "You've put on weight". It's no wonder then that some women are obsessed with their weight.⠀
This day is primarily held in the United States to discourage the obsession with severe weight loss in an unhealthy manner. ⠀
I see a lot of clients who are unhappy, uncomfortable and even embarrassed by their body and in particular their weight - be it high or low.⠀
As a Massage Therapist I have seen it all - and bodies to me now are just a skin-sack of meat that needs to be rearranged to move effectively and efficiently. ⠀
So let go of all the worry, embarrassment, shame, guilt or whatever and focus on the amazing things your body can do!! ⠀
Keep that body moving, and be grateful to be able to live in the amazing vessel you have been given for as long as possible.⠀
Two weeks ago I had a client who was off to find snow this week in the alps - he had been having 'niggles' with his lower back and worried that it would worsen when on the slopes. Three sessions of pressure point therapy and deep tissue sports massage - along with a supporting excercise programme and application of #rocktape the night before he flew has seen him (so far) have a successful 4 full days on his snow board - better still he contacted me to let me know that my tips on reducing EIMD have worked and his regime of a sauna before and after the slopes seem to be keeping the muscle soreness at bay! .
Knees are one of your bodies’ primary weight-bearers and can often take the stress from physical activity you’re engaging in.
