Himmelsk PIZZA. Insanely good and healthy!! First time ever I make one and it was all from scratch, the only thing I didn't make was the cheese! :O I'll make a separate post for the tomato sauce, it definitely deserves one!! The toppings on this one are, first to last:
■2-3 tbsp Tomato sauce (see future post).
■ 1/2 Beet (very thinly sliced).
■ Goat cheese
■ Arugula (add a bit to go in the oven and the rest, raw).
■ 2 green figs (sliced in quarts).
■ 6 walnuts (activated -soaked and rinsed- and chopped).
■ Olive oil on top

You definitely need to make this one: it's easy, healthy and tastes incredible.

Having a strong back/developed lats is extremely important in a variety of exercises that involved pulling something towards you(like pull-ups or rows of course), but they also play a role in helping to stabilize your core while doing exercises like the bench press, overhead press, deadlift, squat, and even tricep pushdowns. If you've been trying to build your back but feel like you aren't making any progress, try a few of these tips and it may help you engage your lats more and eliminate the use of secondary movers like the biceps or forearms. 💪🏼
🔹Minimize momentum: A little sway is okay, but too much can over assist you where your bodyweight is doing most of the work
🔹Don't wrap thumb around bar: By not wrapping your thumb around the bar, you take your forearms almost completely out of the equation. It's important to remember that because you aren't squeezing the bar as tight, to not swing or lose control of the weight. Which brings me to my next tip
🔹Don't ego lift: Perform the exercise with a goal to activate the correct muscle. If the weight is too heavy to feel the contraction, lower the weight and make sure each rep is of high quality 🔹Don't just pull down/up: When doing movements like the pulldown or pull-up, try to almost spread the bar apart by pulling down and to the side. Similar to if you're trying to bend the bar across your upper chest
🔹Pinch your sides: During the fully contracted position, visualize yourself pinching your sides with your elbows, like somebody is trying to tickle your sides or pull your elbows up 🔹Focus on the negative: When lowering yourself from a pull-up or letting the weight rise up from a pull-down, try to keep the eccentric portion (relaxing muscle) just as slow as the concentric portion (contracting muscle). 🔹Include variety: Include both vertical pulling (pull-ups, pulldowns) and horizontal pulling (Barbell, Dumbbell, or cable rows) in your training

I pass mint so often in the grocery store but I never buy it out of fear it might go to waste. I recently remembered this amazing mint pea pesto I had in Seattle a couple years ago while visiting for the #bumbershootfestival. I decided to try a vegan version of the sauce and it came out beautifully.  Lemon pepper pappardelle pasta with a mint basil garlic pesto topped with shelled edamame. I was afraid the mint would be overpowering but it married perfectly with the other flavors. The pasta is a weekly hitchen staple for us and can be found at trader joes.
