🥉192 kg (422 lbs) competition PR Clean and Jerk en route to a 3rd Place finish at the #2017 AO!
Never felt stronger! Snatches felt great, but out of position and it put me too far behind in the Clean and Jerk to go for big numbers. Another lesson in “earning your attempts”. I’ve won more than I’ve lost this way, even though it’s a tough pill to swallow!
Special thanks to my squad for the support and encouragement, my coaches @tottentraining and @bmcd83, and my fountain of youth provider @directperformancept .. turning 35 in 2 weeks and was in the best shape ever this weekend.

Today is all about feeling BEAUTIFUL!!! For long periods of time I go through spurts where I feel like shit about myself & especially how I look... It makes me not want to go to the gym and it stresses me out which makes me eat like crap too! 🤕
But, after some time, I pick myself up & remind myself that I AM BEAUTIFUL! Whether is takes a new outfit, make up, changing my hair, a large pizza to myself, or taking a cute selfie, I know how to pick myself up! Life is about enjoying yourself & feeling amazing in your own skin! I want to be here to pick you all up because you all pick me up by viewing, liking, commenting, or anything on my page!! Today is about YOU 💜💋🤗🥂🌟🌹
Knee wraps made a hell of a lot more sense this week, 2 sets x 3 reps at 290kg on squats. Lots of improvements to still be made but having a lot of fun!

Squats kill your knees" -
Not necessarily true. Squats with horrible form kill your knees! The squat is the grandaddy of all the exercises. There isn't a muscle that the squat won't work on. Plus, it's a primal movement. Humans were built to squat since the beginning of times.
First pictures shows the wrong position of the knees in a squat. As you can see the knees are caved in and the pressure is on the inside of the knee.
Second picture shows the right position of the knees in the squat. Push those knees out and open up the hips to engage the bum muscles.
Do your squats, people. If there's one exercise that we'd chose to do for the rest of our lives - it's the squat.
Holiday Programming 101. Usually when we’re in Holiday season / Birthday / Vacations or other plans where we know we’re going to go away for a while, we usually like to program a phase specifically for that ocation.
The reason we do this is to be in top shape to be able to take a full week or 2 off right at the end of the phase which would be the celebration we had planned. So Christmas and New Years is right around the corner and we’re at the end of a really fun phase where we’ll be able to put all of those calories from the coming holidays to good use once we’re back at the gym. .

I completed 4 sets; 20 reps each & then did a burn out at the end of each exercise. Straight fire.. ya feels me?
