I remember back in high school late 90s getting wrestling, rap, porn tshirts, posters, at the flea from this guy! But back then I didn't know what a flea really was I just thought it was a big outdoor mini mall 😂, anyway he was the coolest vendor and I was 14 when I first saw him, but after going to college I lost contact of him. But this was before the items was actually vintage and a big hit commodity so he use to plug (I got my ⛄️ young jeezy Tshirt from him)! He use to tell me about vintage and collecting back then he had new and old shit he said he started promotional vending as a teen for big vendors so he learned the tricks and trades but flash forward 11/ 19/2017 I see him on the news running his own flea market (80+ vendors $90 per 2 day weekend plus his son selling the super rare vintage posters and etc!) every month and his son has taken over the business of selling the tons that they have left! I'm really happy for him! He told me back then to collect and take it serious cause I had a great interest in weird things cause he didn't care about none of the cultures he just like making ppl happy, educating and of course making 💰! But I thought he was talking nonsense it's crazy for him now to finally reap the benefits due to the power of this vintage market now!
So if you saw my story you would know I ended up not riding today😒. I drove 30 minutes to the barn like always and my mom had to stay with me since my trainer wouldn’t be there and I of course need an adult to stay with me. My parents don’t really like it but the put up with it because they are awesome and know I need to ride. It was way windier at the barn than it was at my house but I was like he’s pretty good in the wind and “bombish proof”. I get all my tack and grooming stuff out and ready to go. I go and get him out of his stall after he did whatever he needed to do and tied him up to get tacked. I only got to curry him because Our barn has a tin roof so the leaves blowing in the wind hitting the roof was really loud. He spooked once and I was able to calm him down. The second time the wind was crazy and the leaves were going crazy. It made lots of noise which spooked mocha. I had a brush in my hand about to brush him and he took off in a circle (he was still tied up). I knew I had two choices either get trampled trying to tack up and have a terrible ride on a spooking horse (if we even made it with out him getting loose) or getting him back to the pasture where we both were safe. So I threw my brush on the ground and untied him and attempted to walk to the pasture as quick as possible, without getting hurt. We ended up trotting to the pasture and I got his halter off as quick as possible and bolted into the pasture. We are all safe and sound thankfully but my mom wasn’t very happy she drove to the barn for no reason. Anyway I won’t be able to ride again until next Sunday because I leave for NJ at 4am tomorrow morning. Ugh I hate not riding consistently. Thanks weather! I also wanted to use my new cute @hopeful_equestrian sets😫. ~
We don't know who/what we love most in this adorable picture!! Our owners, Jim & Alanna Taff; their dog, Wino; or the amazing Lady in Red! Special thanks to @kylebey for capturing this shot while shooting footage of the vineyard this past weekend!
