15 items sold today for a grand total of $312, not where I need to be but it's getting back on track after 2 weeks of not listing and several $1XX days in a row. Swipe to see some of the items that sold! (Before we compare remember this is my families full time income and pays all of ours bills, two people putting in full time hours for over a year)
Haven't been feeling well these past couple of days. I was having pain where my gallbladder use to be and the pain would run to my back, then I didn't feel hungry and when I would try to eat I was about to throw up. I was dehydrated and pale I was about to go to the ER but thank god my mom gave me some pills because the ones my surgeon gave me weren't really helping, and today I feel better and decided to do my makeup. Even though I've been feeling so bad, this little cutie is what keeps me going and why I get up every morning, he brings a smile to my face every day and he is my reason why I want to be better and heathy. Also, so glad I joined this business because man if I had to be at a job I don't think they would give me so many sick days but thanks to it Works! Since I get to work from home and from my phone I don't have to worry about asking for sick days. #MyBaby#Handsome#BabyBoy#LittleMan#BoyMom#Mommy#Mom#MomLife#StayAtHomeMom#SAHM#BossMom#BossLady#BossBabe#Selfie#MakeUp#MakeupOnPoint Not my real eye color, I wish it was lol 💚😉 #GreenEyes He was facing up and he rolled next to me when I was about to take the picture lol came out perfect #MyWorld#LoveHim
Yes, I know. Wrong month/season/upcoming holiday, etc. but I'm having a Mama moment 🙈 Working on something special for 🥜 and stumbled on this gem. This home photo shoot means so much to me because 1) it was our first so I had no clue what I was doing (that's our tree and desk back there & he's laying on top of our comforter with pillow under to form the nook lol) so I remember it being the one I was most nervous for 2) I was dealing with strong Baby Blues and I remember this being one of the very few days I had any energy for and being proud that I was able to find enough energy to capture this 3) I mean look how little he was 😭 ok back to summer ☀️🌈🔥
The original Luscious Lovely Lady ❤️ This is my grandmother, who we lovingly used to call KK. She was beautiful both inside and out.
She's been on my mind today because of a story that I came across while reading "Million Dollar Lips" by Joni Rogers-Kante. In her book, Joni tells a story about her grandmother who lived on a farm. Although she rarely entertained outside company, she gave tremendous priority to looking her best at all times. Joni remembered, "From the time she woke up in the morning she was busy washing and shampooing, curling her hair, putting on her makeup and donning her nicest clothes. sewed by her, always clean and pressed." Her reasoning for spending this time on herself in the morning was simple - "It's important to look your best for the people you love most." This immediately made me think of KK. I used to sit in her bathroom while she curled her hair, listening to her count from 1 to 10 while she curled each section. She'd put on her makeup and then apply a spray of her favorite perfume - "Beautiful" by Estee Lauder. I don't think I have a memory of her when she was not "put together". She always looked and smelled so nice! And I think she must have felt the same way that Joni's grandmother did - that it's important to look your best even if it's only your husband or your children or your grandchildren who are going to see you.
Sometimes there's a part of me that feels a little guilty taking time away from all the other things I feel I "should be" doing to put myself together. But after reading Joni's story and thinking about my grandmother, I don't feel so guilty anymore 😀 I don't think we need to be obsessive about our appearance, but I do believe that personal grooming and appearance is a proclamation of respect for others and well as for ourselves 💞

I was reading an article in my favorite magazine (The Ensign) earlier this week written by a mother. She told of a time she was busy cleaning and as she did so she was thinking about how none of the mess was created by her, and was feeling worn out and frustrated. And then her husband made this comment: "It’s what mothers do. They spend their lives cleaning up messes that they had no hand in making—just like the Savior did." It changed her perspective. She went from feeling like her job as a mother was often tedious to recognizing it as Christlike service to those she loved.
I've been thinking about this. Many of us moms spent years receiving education preparing us to work in fields we are not working in. Instead our days are filled with talking mostly to children, cleaning up messes, doing laundry, wiping bums, being a taxi driver, preparing food, etc.... And often we do all these tasks happily. But sometimes it may feel like drudgery. But when we can have that perspective shift and view what we are doing as acting in a way similar to what our Savior did for us, what we are doing seems much more important and noble. Because you know what - we are important and pretty dang awesome!
I clearly remember thinking three things that day while sitting in church. ⠀
Our Pastor announced that there would be a Bible journaling class held in the upcoming weeks. ⠀
Why Bible journaling? I thought. ⠀
I’m not artsy so what am I even thinking about it.⠀
I'm sure it's too expensive. ⠀
Why Bother? ⠀
Join me on the blog today and find out why you might want to consider it too!

Hey hey hey! 😘Obviously we've been a little MIA from our posting over the last 24hrs...set boundaries going into this exciting time at the hospital so we aren't missing out on any precious moments and so I can focus on healing. I'll try to give an update each day that we are here though! 💕😊Our csection went really well yesterday and the whole day 1 with Cate was wonderful!! Oh if only you could have heard Daniel's voice when he yelled out "And we have our 3rd little girl!!!" One of the best moments ever!!! The ULTIMATE surprise each time that we've had our csections and it was crazy amazing yesterday too. We are just beginning to imagine what life will look like for our fam!😍 (and Daniel as the only man!! Haha!😂)I felt pretty good post surgery and little Cate kicked butt beginning nursing and cuddling like a pro! ❤️️Last night, as I guessed from her last few months in my tummy, was a sleepless night. She's def got nights and days backwards! ☀️😴That made today a much more challenging day in the healing realm for me. It was pretttty tough but I'm pressing forward and resting as much as she allows! 😉Cate does NOT like to be in her crib here so we are spending most of our time cuddling skin to skin and nursing as we get to know each other better. I already love her sweet smiles, her adorable cries, snorts, and coos, and noticing all the differences and similarities between her and the rest of our fam of 5! [fam of 5?!?? WHAT?!😆😍] We are feeling blessed beyond measure, constantly praising God for our girl, and loving every second...even the sleepless ones. 🙌🏻💕
