🤦🏽♀️Have you ever driven somewhere and been so preoccupied thinking that when you arrived you had ZE-RO recollection of the time or things you passed?⠀I’m guilty. And that’s frightening.⠀
🔸I actually think it’s impossible to live only in the present moment, be entirely mindful and go through life without EVER being preoccupied, but I do think it’s possible to become MORE AWARE.
🔸I’ve realized that the antidote to freaking out and having a miserable and frantic day is a non-urgent mindset. I remind myself that everything that needs to get done WILL.GET.DONE. and I won’t let the magnitude of what lies ahead consume me. ⠀
🔸Worry will only take away from the enjoyment of everything that I love and the things that matter most.⠀
🔸I’ll never get it ALL done, and the less force I apply when trying to get it all done, the more quickly it gets done and the happier I am. It’s the idea of —> applying ease to the effort <— and letting the ease lead the way.⠀
🔸Make an honest effort this week to be more mindful and present in the moment.
Keep. It. Simple.
Literally the only part I cooked was the potatoes. Tossed in olive oil, smidge of salt, pepper, and roasted. That's it. The rest was out of packages. ❤️+💛+💚
This is definitely NOT what BOD had in mind when posting this motivation, but it reminded me of a great tip I heard from a friend:
When you're at home, put a bikini on your body. "Every time you pass a mirror, you get extra incentive to make healthy choices." Plus it's just fun! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

Trust yourself and stay the path. These are words that I come back to time and time (and time) again. It's so easy to become distracted...there are so many great ideas, innovations, and endeavors to compare with your own in wondering if what you're doing is enough; if it's impactful.
As it relates to yoga and the healing arts, I want to do it all! I want to share the many different styles and adaptations of yoga. I want to learn, teach, and heal through #reiki , #ayurveda , #taichi , and #essentials . ~
But, I know that I cannot be everything to everyone and adequately serve those people and populations who will benefit most from these incredible offerings.
So, what's a girl to do? How do I best present these healing and wellness modalities to the population at large while remaining true to my path?
First, I listen. If we can create enough space and listen with the heart rather than through the mind's eye the answer reveals itself. Intellect propels us forward in our mission, but it's the soul that marks the journey forward.
Next, I quiet the quiet the critics within (and with out) and I find faith in my conviction.
Finally, I move. The fear subsides and paralysis gives way to action. Thoughts become things and so it begins.
I know myself, I trust myself, and I am confident in what I have to share. Those modalities that are not in my wheelhouse are readily available and accessible within our community and I don't have to be an expert in them because there are other, qualified entities who already are...and we will come together to the benefit of our community at large. Together, we will step forward as a collaborative.
This is an exciting time and, in the company of the right people with the right intentions, this will unfold in a most beautiful way.

I am very thankful that I can easily get down on the ground to play and cuddle with them in their tent! We did a lot of laughing tonight and it was just what this mommy needed!! 💓
When you spent the day taking care of everyone else -- you take of yo self with a 8:30pm workout sesh. Saturday night mommy time = #piyo sweat!! Ever done it? It's amazing! I love workouts that challenge me yet are kind to my body without killing myself. Piyo is that! Shower and fat bombs for a snack and 🎥 movie with the fam! Although Lucky Charms sound really freaking good right now 🤣😜
Monday I'm going full swing with some things; back to detox water and a gallon of water daily, back to adding some women's green supplements that I've been missing (yah theybfor over 40🤣👊🏻🦄), going to start a new 30 day workout... not sure what yet (I'm up for suggestions!🤗), and going to meal prep the ish out of the week!
Got goals! Got plans!

Just completely humbled today. Thank you Kaycee for inviting me to be a part of this amazing event! My heart is so full from seeing everyone come together for the fight against Breast Cancer. We met so many survivors, fighters, friends and families of those affected AND got to lead the warm up for hundreds of people! It was humbling to be on that stage and see a sea of PINK knowing that so many have or are fighting much bigger battles than you and I may ever face. 💗
And my favorite moment of this morning was when we all came together in a huddle and Kaycee prayed the most beautiful prayer over us (before beginning the warm up). God has just begun to surround me with the most incredibly, beautiful souls. To think 6 months ago, I thought I was happy and I was actually truly MISERABLE. I now know why God changed directions and I can’t thank Him enough for doing so. We have to remember that His plans are greater than ours and there’s always a reason for the things He does. Let’s all take a moment and truly be grateful for our lives. My heart is just so full!!! 💗💗 thank you Trenda for being our support, photographer and videographer!! .

Switching up my routine here in Guangzhou. I found a beautiful lake park on my run yesterday and swam for cardio this morning. Also, wrapping up BBG week 20 tomorrow. Ahh! Only 2 more days here then I'm off to Shanghai. 🛩
Slowly but surely starting to feel somewhat "normal" again. This has been the longest 3 years of my life. I'm happy to have more good days than bad ones over the last few months. Step by step, I'm like Auntie Maxine: Reclaiming My Time. 😂😂🤷🏾♀️Im looking forward to being at at least 80% by mid 2018.
• Y’all, I seriously can’t get enough of this little fur ball!! Look at his cute markings, and that mustache and goatee!! SO CUTE!! • Jack is very sweet and loves to play with his ball and lil mouses!! He will snuggle with you and he lets me kiss him like crazy!! 😻😽😻😽 • Besides playing with my newest little buddy, I’ve been working out, eating kinda healthy. 80/20 Right!?! • Hunter has kept me busy this week too, practices after school and a dental appt happened his week. Someone is getting Invisalign 🙌🏼😬 Oddly enough, he’s very excited to get his teeth straight, so he doesn’t mind wearing it. Happy for him!!! • I started a Lamaze class that is every Tuesday for the next 5 weeks for my Doula Certification!
