It was @dleonard10 ‘s farewell class and she crushed it! Thank yo @jpablecas for the invite it was awesome! I have to say running a 8k then immediately taking the class was rough but honestly it was a great way to keep my mind of things. Now it’s time for some much needed family time! Added bonus, the protein is unsweetened so you can control how your shake tastes. He collagen helps protect and support my joints while I bash on them during training. I plan on being in the iron game for the long haul so what I eat has a huge impact on how I perform. Bonus: my beard feels great and is super healthy. SO much bread! I literally baked 4 loaves today for 2 families and it was SO simple. This one up front is a simple French and the ones in back are gluten free and paleo with almond flour. Both are only 5 ingredients and whatever herbs you want on top! I chose rosemary, garlic and thyme. SO good. I know we all tend to shy away from carbs and bread sometimes, but here's what I'm thinking.. if you want the bread, eat some of the bread in moderation! @genuinely_jules put it fantastically today, it's the memories of the holidays we will remember ❤️😘

Happy Wednesday 🙋🏻 Went to my first class at @trainingmate last night 👌🏻 Almost didn’t make it since @devinchatterton & @byjodirene canceled on me 😭 but @slatergetsfit came in clutch and kicked ass 🍑 We took the Thunder Down Under class which focuses on lower body exercises and  I am feeling it today 😅 My favorite exercise was definitely the bosu ball squats which I couldn’t even do at first 😂 The instructor told me I looked like a newborn baby horse when I first tried 😒 But after some practice, I got it down 💪🏻 Today is going to be a rest day since I have a pretty busy day ahead, but possibly going to @airfitlosangeles tomorrow morning with @slatergetsfit 🤔 Let me think about that a little bit longer before I decide 😜 Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving Eve ❤️ #trainingmate #bosuballsquats #killingit

I truly believe we are what we eat. The nutrition we give our bodies pretty much dictates what we become…and not only in how we look, but in how we feel and how our bodies function. And we have to pay attention to what works and what doesn’t when it comes to our diet (everyone’s different).

I say this with complete confidence, because I know first hand how food can impact your life. About two years ago, I was in very poor health: I kept losing weight not matter how much I ate, would wake up at night with bad leg cramps because my body was not retaining nutrients from the food I was giving it, I looked like I was 4 months pregnant because of how bloated my belly would get, had terrible stomach issues and did not get my period for over a year. My body was in trouble, and I did not know what was going on. Doctors (note that it’s plural here) could not give me an answer.

To not make the story long, I went to a nutritionist and she ran a food sensitivity blood test on me. We discovered I was highly intolerant to cow’s milk, wheat and almonds (which I ate a decent amount of on the daily), and these were causing high inflammation to my system. She put me on a strict diet to bring my body’s inflammation down and just like that, in 2 weeks, I got my period back and started gaining weight. 🙌 Amazing. Nutrition is so incredibly powerful.

Now, I am very careful about what I put in my body. I have to be. Which is why I am super picky about the supplements I take as well. I trust only two brands, and @vitalproteins is one of them. I truly believe we are what we eat. The nutrition we give our bodies pretty much dictates what we become…and not only in how we look, but in how we feel and how our bodies function. And we have to pay attention to what works and what doesn’t when it comes to our diet (everyone’s different). . I say this with complete confidence, because I know first hand how food can impact your life. About two years ago, I was in very poor health: I kept losing weight not matter how much I ate, would wake up at night with bad leg cramps because my body was not retaining nutrients from the food I was giving it, I looked like I was 4 months pregnant because of how bloated my belly would get, had terrible stomach issues and did not get my period for over a year. My body was in trouble, and I did not know what was going on. Doctors (note that it’s plural here) could not give me an answer. . To not make the story long, I went to a nutritionist and she ran a food sensitivity blood test on me. We discovered I was highly intolerant to cow’s milk, wheat and almonds (which I ate a decent amount of on the daily), and these were causing high inflammation to my system. She put me on a strict diet to bring my body’s inflammation down and just like that, in 2 weeks, I got my period back and started gaining weight. 🙌 Amazing. Nutrition is so incredibly powerful. . Now, I am very careful about what I put in my body. I have to be. Which is why I am super picky about the supplements I take as well. I trust only two brands, and @vitalproteins is one of them. I take exactly 6 supplements from @vitalproteins, of which 2 I take every day of my life (even when I travel ✈️). . Already thinking about my next slow breakfast.

Shakshuka is super easy to make! While I preheated the oven to 375F... . 
I sauteed chopped onions, sweet peppers and garlic in @fourthandheart ghee and @latourangelleartisanoils olive oil in a cast iron skillet . 
Once the vegetables softened (about 15-20 minutes) I seasoned with paprika, cumin, chili powder, salt & pepper to taste
.
Then I added canned tomatoes & @vitalproteins Collagen Peptides and cooked until tomatoes were soft and thickened up . 
And then cracked 6 eggs on top
.
In goes the skillet for 8-10min in the hot oven, depending on how runny you like the yolks
.

This is my first week back after taking some time off after Nordic Track 😜 You wouldn’t think 8 days of no working out would affect you, but oh let me tell you, it does 😰 I had my first workout on Sunday and I am still feeling the soreness 😴 Last night I was able to muster up some energy though and try my first class at @boxnburnbrentwood 🥊 How could I not have the energy when my badass fit friends came along to join: @devinchatterton @byjodirene @daliafitpiggie 👯 Not sure what I was expecting but the class was tough 😅 I love their class style because you don’t just work on the bag the entire time, you get to do true boxing conditioning 💪🏻 Shoutout to @stephencainptla @jorge_bnb @alexk_bnb @shark_bnb & all the other coaches at Box n Burn for showing us a good time 🙏🏻 We will for sure be back 👌🏻 Tonight’s workout: @trainingmate 🤘🏻🇦🇺 #boxing #boxnburn #fitfam

Dreary mornings call for creating inner warmth.  Hot yoga & a cozy oat bowl for me.  This looks/sounds a little funny, but it’s actually tasty and super satisfying. Oats (with cashew milk, pumpkin pie spice & @vitalproteins vanilla & coconut water collagen whey.  Then I topped with bluebs, grain free granola, vanilla yogurt, sunflower seed butter, coconut cream and a little maple syrup.  Voilà! 👌🏽 #tuesdaytreat #dietitiangonewild #postyogaeats

Our @bobsredmill x @vitalproteins pancakes this morning got us feeling on top of the world🤩🤤🥇 we don’t get many mornings where we have time to make pancakes together AND have time to eat ‘em, so we’re loving every bit of today.✨
All we did for these pancakes was mix @bobsredmill pancake//waffle mix as the directions said, add 2 scoops @vitalproteins flavorless collagen, mix in some blueberries + toss em in a skillet🥞 according to Kayden they were “SOOOOO DELICIOUS”. ✨TIP—Make a large batch of them, put them in zip lock baggies and freeze so when you’re running late in the morning, you can pop them in the toaster + go #momwin 
ALSO, wondering how other parent bloggers get their kids to pose so perfectly for their pics? cause this was the best we got right before he almost dropped all of them + I may or may not have had to bribe him with laffy taffy to pose with our cakes😒🤣

I’ve been out of it for a week and have felt off without it🙈. I’m not a big pumpkin gal but if I’m going to eat it it’s going to be during thanksgiving week! In my bowl: 1C @greenvalleyorganics kefir, 1T chia seeds, 2T coconut milk, 2T pumpkin purée, some honeycrisp apple, pepitas, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, and a scoop of collagen! Going to let it sit for a bit and thicken before I enjoy.

Happy Mondayyyy 😄 Starting my morning off with a delicious and filling breakfast 🍴Whipped up a savory oatmeal for the next few days that has sautéed mushrooms, green onions, cilantro and a soft boiled egg for topping 🤤 I am not a huge fan of sweet breakfasts, I have to be in the mood for it 🙊 Since oatmeal is made predominantly sweet, I decided to switch it up a bit 🙌🏻 The recipe is simple: cook steel cut oats for 15 mins in 2 parts vegetable broth & one part water, then add to a bowl and add your favorite topics 😍 You could even add sautéed onions or spinach to this to give it some extra veggies 👌🏻 What are your favorite things to eat for breakfast? Happy Mondayyyy 😄 Starting my morning off with a delicious and filling breakfast 🍴Whipped up a savory oatmeal for the next few days that has sautéed mushrooms, green onions, cilantro and a soft boiled egg for topping 🤤 I am not a huge fan of sweet breakfasts, I have to be in the mood for it 🙊 Since oatmeal is made predominantly sweet, I decided to switch it up a bit 🙌🏻 The recipe is simple: cook steel cut oats for 15 mins in 2 parts vegetable broth & one part water, then add to a bowl and add your favorite topics 😍 You could even add sautéed onions or spinach to this to give it some extra veggies 👌🏻 What are your favorite things to eat for breakfast? In the spirit of #thanksgiving, I decided to spend a portion of my Sunday trying out a new recipe. This Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread is a quick and easy healthy snack you can prepare for your family, friends or for yourself 😋 🎃 🍫

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup whole grain gluten free oat flour (I like Bob’s Red Mill)
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 scoop @vitalproteins collagen peptides 
2 pasture-raised eggs
1/4 cup almond milk
1/2 cup pumpkin puree 
1/2 cup pure maple syrup or  honey.  1/2 cup dairy free chocolate chips (I used Chocolate Dream by Sunspire)
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 tablespoons oil (I used grape seed oil) 
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat the oven to 350°F then lightly grease a loaf pan.
In a large bowl, combine the oat flour , cinnamon, baking soda, and salt. Stir together then set aside.
In a second bowl, combine the eggs, almond milk, pumpkin, maple syrup, vanilla extract and oil. Blend for 30 seconds, until frothy.
Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Using a spatula, fold the wet ingredients into the dry until just combined. Transfer the batter to the loaf pan then bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Allow to cool for at least 15 minutes before removing from the pan. So moist! Collagen Pumpkin Pancakes

1 cup @bobsredmill almond flour
1/2 cup @bobsredmill tapioca flour
1/2 cup @vitalproteins coconut collagen creamer
2 Tbsp @healthworkschef cold-milled ground flaxseed 
1 Tbsp baking powder
1/4 tsp sea salt
1 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 c coconut sugar (or brown sugar)
3 large eggs
1/2 c canned Pumpkin 
3/4 c @califiafarms toasted coconut almond milk blend

First combine all the dry ingredients in one bowl. Then, beat the eggs and combine the wet ingredients into a separate bowl. Finally, combine the wet and dry ingredients, being careful to not over-stir. Add a little more milk, if needed. Cook on a greased griddle. This morning I'm fueling up to do some decorating and decided to make a paleo/dairy-free Gingerbread Latte using this new @vitalproteins gingerbread flavored collagen creamer 😍 how I did it: 
Brewed one decaf nespresso, transferred to a blender and added 1/4 cup full fat coconut milk, 2 scoops collagen creamer, 1 tbsp molasses, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp nutmeg, 1/4 tsp ginger and blended on high until frothy. Poured back in my mug and added more cinnamon ☕️
