I first discovered #fundanoodle back in April when my son wasn't even 1.5 years old. He was a bit young for the products at the time, but my MIL bought him a few things to save for Christmas. He is · loving · the I Can Pound activity kit!
Starting my biz this year meant long hours at the computer, trading workouts and healthy eating for meetings and takeout. I prioritized work and family, and don’t have regrets, despite a few extra pounds. But I know in my second year, I can be a better business owner and mom if I feel healthier and stronger. So mompreneurs and busy moms, what are your secrets for fitting in fitness? And what are your fave healthy, easy recipes? Lay them on me because I’m ready for some change in 2018! 💪🏻🥦💪🏻🥦
Fat Heauxs is 10 days away from completing our Choose Your Own #30daychallenge !! We asked some of our participants how they are feeling about it. Here’s what the lovely @ines.bellina had to say!! *****
When I signed up for the challenge, I was feeling sluggish and frustrated that I had let my pudge grow. My schedule was all sorts of crazy, making it hard to put some serious gym time in. I’ve always enjoyed walking though and thought it might be a good way to at least get moving! And it did! I’m averaging about 9,500 steps a day right now, which I only tend to do during the warm summer months. The best part, though, has been finding little moments of beauty in the city. ****
Her photos have been great reminders that there is so much to see in #chicago and we need to get out more. Great work, @ines.bellina! We’re proud of you!
Step away from the screen!! #squareeyes I am THAT parent and I didn’t let Big S watch TV until very late in my pregnancy with Little S (so about 14-16months) as #psychome says that it’s bad for them. And if I hadn’t have been dying on my feet heavily preggers I wouldn’t have turned it on. I try to limit screen time as much as possible. However, it’s impossible to keep little S away if Big S is having his chill out moment of the day. And boy does he like the sparkly lights. 😡 #stepawayfromthescreen#psychome#theidentitiesofme
We 💕 this video of @malleryhorton’s 3-year-old #cfwarrior using the @fundanoodle “I Can Build Uppercase!” letter builder magnets during her twice-weekly salt treatments that help her breathe. It would be easy to hand her an iPhone or set up an iPad to watch, so we applaud Mallery for proving #screenfree , #handson educational learning opportunities! We heard #sweetP got through about 4 pages of the “I Can Do Fun Activities! floor pad at her last appointment!
Little Learners and their Mamas are #thankful for #fundanoodle ! 💕 it when @fundanoodle products are preferred over screen time! Find out how you can be thankful too as part of the #fundanoodlefamily ! Click link in bio👆🏻 for more info!
This big falcon greets me just about very day on my walk to and from my office. He kinda blends in with the leaves here - but trust me. Seeing him live, he’s pretty dynamic. It’s amazing to me how many students walk right by him and never take a look. #mindfulness#stepawayfromthescreen#hemaypooponyou
😂 Happy Friday! This is so true though, right? It’s unusual to witness this sort of thing. How many of us actually just do ONE thing at a time or take 5-10 minutes to savor a meal while not looking at a screen. We’re always multitasking, distracted, ⭐️not in the present moment⭐️. It has become the norm.
Challenge yourself to practice mindfulness with one meal, snack or chai tea latte today ❤️ #mindfuleating#mindfulness#stepawayfromthescreen
We are kicking off Thanksgiving week by sharing videos from our #fundanoodlefamily ! See why our customers, Ambassadors and Little Learners are thankful for @fundanoodle’s hands-on learning tools AND our amazing business opportunity! @fundanoodlegaya
The @fundanoodle program encourages Little Learners to master uppercase letters before tackling Lowercase. This builds confidence and ensures the Little Learner has developed proper writing skills and hand strength before moving on to more challenging letter formation. But, Little Learners will use lowercase letters more in the classroom so they really need to practice, practice, practice! This week’s Stocking Stuffer #flashsale makes Lowercase letter practice more fun for less $$$! Take 30% off our Lowercase letter learning products through Sunday!!
My man Jack just turned 3 and got an *I Can Pound* kit for his birthday! It's looking like he's a fan! And his Mama is excited that this activity can grow with him! But let's be honest, how do we make the babies stop growing up?! 😭
Prioritizing downtime in the midst of our overly-networked lives can be challenging, but it is absolutely VITAL for your health. When was the last time you simply stopped to reflect? In efforts to “stay connected” with others (are we really connected from behind a screen?), we miss out on opportunities for introspection and are at risk of losing ourselves. *
One of the greatest pleasures I experience as a Health Coach is witnessing my clients begin to prioritize themselves, take the time for nothingness and reflection (among other things) and become a better version of themselves as a result. *
If you’re ready to say YES to yourself and take a journey towards your best health and life, PM me and we will chat! You’ve got nothing to lose!
Alright, I have to brag a little. As most of you know I am a Pediatric Occupational Therapist and I "geek out" about all things fine motor. My son, who is 14 months old, is my guinea pig for a lot of therapy ideas. Before you start to feel bad for him, check out that AWESOME pencil grasp! His fingers are pointed toward the paper and the crayon is resting between his thumb and pointer finger. So proud! 🤗😍
Feels good to be back in the saddle dyeing + sewing again after nearly 6 months of moving insanity.
I hand-dyed 30 yards of linen (in the bathtub 😂) for some custom dressing room curtains, and they are coming along like a bohemian paradise. ✌🏼✨😍 @livefreecreativeco
We Latinas love our devices. Important reminder to also step away from our devices and take care of our bodies! Interesting research by Nielsen...check it out: http://www.nielson.com/us/en/insights/reports/2017/Latina-2-0.html
I love it when restaurants provide games and other hands-on learning activities that make even the teenagers forget about their phones! But, sadly, I watched a young family beside me ignore the crayons and paper the staff gave their preschooler. Before they could even get settled the Mom had turned on a video on her phone and propped it in front of the child (who was not loud or misbehaving). The child watched the video the entire time, even while eating her food. Not once did she even glance at the crayons. There is a time and place and an appropriate age for everything, including technology. But I hope this Mom realizes how hard it will be to enforce a “no screen zone” family dinner in the future when her kiddos are older! Not only are we raising a generation of children who are not actively developing their motor skills, but we are raising a generation of children who learn to rely on technology at younger and younger ages. We are raising a generation of children who are not learning how to communicate and interact with others. 😔 These kiddos will be on a screen for the rest of their life! Teach them to play and be creative when they are young! Why do we expect our preteens and teenagers to not crave the device we gave them before they could even read and write? #writenotswipe#stepawayfromthescreen#soapbox#latergram#fundanoodle
Psychologist David Strayer took 56 hikers out in the wilderness to study their brains on nature. The result: “bursts in creativity, problem-solving, and feelings of well-being.” (NIH)

Wherever you are, whatever you’re doing, pause and take a moment to appreciate this life, this moment, its lessons, its challenges, its gifts, its graces.... and if you can, step away from your screen or turn your phone away for a moment. Breathe in deeply and feel the breath expanding every part of your being... hold for a few seconds before exhaling and letting go of anything that’s on your mind. Repeat just two more times. Enjoy these few breaths of deep gratitude with yourself. Take this moment as often as you feel you need to throughout your day. 💜
Last week in Sydney I was enjoying drinks watching the sunset at Darling Harbour, when I looked on in horror at a girl who spent the whole time she was there snapping photos of herself. It was so bad she was moving round to get the perfect angle and would make her boyfriend take a load too (none of them together just her), they barely spoke. It was so bad that he was holding the camera up, not even looking at the photos he was taking whilst she posed - he was watching a video on his phone whilst doing it. If she wasn't taking her photo she was checking out the photos to correct her angle, she didn't even watch the sunset. I see this a lot in Sydney, I think it is the way the world is going - that people have become so self obsessed. I'm all for the perfect photo but not at the expense of enjoying yourself. This photo was taken reuniting with my beautiful, sexy, intelligent non-self obsessed girl friends. We had the camera out for literally a minute, I'm not even looking at the camera properly, instead we were enjoying each other's company and there in the here and now. But this photo makes me smile because it's not the perfect posed photo, but it's a reminder of the time I enjoyed with them, and really, that's all that matters!
