Broken Flowers (2/2)
She didn't take the last breakup very well. He warned her, not to take that another shot of vodka, but only if she had ever listened to him when drunk. Those shots seemed to be the only way she figured out to erase the memory of her last affair.
He finally had to stop her forcefully, 'That's it, time to go home now.' He pulls her away her chair, put her hands on his shoulders and carried her to his car. She was completely sloshed. He laid her on the backseat and drove her to his home.
As he put her on bed, he seized a small moment to stare at her for a while and wondered how innocent she looked while sleeping. 'Good morning' She wished him, forwarding the cup of coffee.
He got up and sat straight on the couch on which he fell asleep last night.
'What happened last night?' She asked, 'hope I did nothing embarrassing !', she smiled and sipped her coffee.
'You remember nothing?' he asked feeling a little disappointed. How much he wished she could have remembered the confession she made.
'No, not a single thing.' she replied taking another sip of coffee, observing the disappointment dripping from his face..
