Day 2 of our Stout release is in effect. Today’s release “New Lions” Blonde Stout done in collaboration with Clair Morgan is both interesting and incredible. Graham our brewer starts his day at 7am when all is calm and serene! The brewhouse falls silent at 5pm on a Saturday when the madness sets in at @dickmackspub

Another brewery I had the pleasure of stopping at while I was in Anchorage was @midnightsunbrewingco. This was actually the first brewery I went to on this trip and it was an awesome way to start. The beer was delicious, the label artwork was captivating, and their grilled cheese sandwich were awe inspiring. I couldn't of asked for a better way to start off this brew tour and I'll definitely be making a trip back there.
I do like a good coffee stout at the weekend and there’s plenty of this one from Oakshire Brewing!
Espresso Stout | 5.8%
Does what it says on the bottle. Espresso and stout. Huge hit of espresso from the first sip. Nice mouthfeel without being overly thick. The initial espresso is followed up by a nice maltiness and rounded off by a dry mild coffee bitterness. Overall a pretty solid coffee stout!

Cigar City Hunahpu's Imperial Stout 11% ABV & Perennial Abraxas 10% ABV.
This isn't a side by side I thought I'd ever get to try.
Both are absolutely outstanding beers. The Abraxas comes across that little bit thicker while the Hunahphu had a balance of spice that is unmatchable.
