Day 1 of the @Strava training plan lulled me into a false sense of security... because it was a rest day. I legitimately thought: “yeah, I achieved that, so I can handle Day 2”. And I did! I ran SO slow, but I ran the entire thing and wasn’t even slightly out of breath the entire way round. Using @runnersworlduk for their “easy pace calculator” as per instruction, I kept an eye on the @garmin watch and boom: sorted. The most comfortable little run I’ve been on in yonks. 🌅

Speed work around a nice landscaped area 200 yards from our front door. 0.5 mile warm up, 5 x 0.5 mile at 10k pace (6:30/mile) with 0.1 mile walk recovery. Didn't fancy tonight, sideways sleet and a howling wind so I spent half hour when dressed to run building up the courage to get out of the door, the hardest step. So glad I did as I can tell my slowing down to speed up is working...It's a marathon not a sprint I know but the reason I run is to get places quicker! The only runs you regret are the ones you don't do. No excuses, accept the challenge and nail it. Tomorrow we go again...no regrets
Thought I'd make a rare appearance at @horleyharriers tonight for the 3k time trial.. I definitely didn't know there would be a trophy on offer for the most improved..🤔 honest..
The last time I had a good go at this timetrial was November 2015.. with 11.06. I think we can say I'm improving.. sub10. 09.58..
Wow wow wow! Big middle finger to #bluemonday this evening by some absolute legend ladies in Sale! I had 31 women come and start their couch to 5k journey (Sorry, forgot to take a pic!!) and then 17 to my RunFit class - 48 people out running in this minging weather. Nach drei Tagen Laufpause war es mal wieder Zeit 😊
Leider hatte ich in den letzten Tagen am linken Schulterblatt starke Verspannungen, die aber jetzt zum Glück weg sind. Manchmal sind Ruhetage einfach das Beste für den Körper 🍫📚🍵
Es war der erste schnelle Tempodauerlauf in diesem Jahr. Zwar ein kleiner #lauf aber bald kommen ja noch viel mehr🙈 Bei 141 Höhenmeter mit dem Schnitt vom 4:21/km bin ich zufrieden.
Auch wenn die gefühlte Tagesform überhaupt nicht gut war und während dem #laufen auch nicht besser wurde. Aber auch solche Tage gibt es. Immerhin war ich heute morgen auch im Fitnessstudio und sollte danach nicht zu hohe Erwartungen haben 😌
